Gothic Arches Openings Challenge 29th May

I coloured up my base card using shades from the big and juicy soothing sunset pad.
Then using memento tuxedo black stamped the window from Lavinia and carefully water brushed out the ink from the glass. I coloured the window in with pro markers, and also shaded the brickwork a little more.
the edges of the arch were over stamped with an Anna Griffic flourish stamp and the sentiment is from Graphicus.
Finally I edged the bottom of the arch with a left over from a Nellie Snellon frame, and and finished off by adding two dragon flies that I changed the colours of from gold to pink.

Bah Humbug Challenge

Made me think black and pink this week!
The card base is made from Bazzill basic and the layered paper is from Anna Griffin.
Added black twill ribbon and used Nellie Snellon frame to make black border.
Used Silkies to create the background on which I stamped Lavinia's Fairies onto with memento black tuxedo.
Finally I added some snowflakes from Hot Off The Press.
Merry Christmas!

Tio Challenge 40 What's on the desk! - what isn't??

Well my desk is quite tidy sadly the table I work on isn't!
These are two of the many stamps I'm enjoying playing with at the moment.
They are from Imagination Crafts and are made by Chapel Road Artstamps.
Used Inkssentials tool to blend shades from the Mountain Meadow Big and Juicy ink pad to the tag, I was originally going to use purples, but keep coming back to the warm earth tones.
I stamped out the image with memento tuxedo black along with a sentiment from another set.
Then after making sure that the ink was dry, I carefully used a water brush to take out the ink from the dragonflies wings. hope you like x

Bah Humbug Challenge Ribbons

Sorry Ladies didn't make it here last week due to so many commitments over in Manchester.
I bought this Craft UK stamp to make my Mum's Christmas card last year, sadly that never got to happen. I have used it a couple of times before, but be prepared to see it on many cards this year!!!!!!
All of the backing papers I have used are from Brenda Pinnock Designs, along with the ribbons as well.
Santa was stamped out in Memento tuxedo black and coloured in with Promarkers. Not one speck of glitter in sight.......

Dreams

Well my hands are now a mixture of cerise, blue and bright green. Good job they are used to my multi coloured fingers in work!
Every now and again I actually use some of Glenda papers rather than sitting looking at them!
Inked up some Clarity card with the waterfall big and juicy ink pad, using cut and dry foam for a change.
Stamped the Elusive Images sentiment and birds on to the inked card and trimmed to size.
Cut frames out of black mirri board with a Nellie Snellen frame and mounted the birds on to them. The border along side of the sentiment is scrap from a frame I cut out earlier.

Lavinia small Fairies

Hope I can get these nails clean for the morning! Inked up the background in soothing sunset on Clarity card, added mountains and a sun.
Stamped over with Lavinia Fairies, toadstools and an acrylic stamp from QVC in Memento black tuxedo.

Chapel Road Stamps

I am liking these Chapel Road Artstamps, created an inky background with big and juicy foliage ink on Clarity cardstock.
Then used memento black to stamp out the dragonflies, and also the sentiment from another set of Chapel Road stamps.
Made sure the ink was dry and then took out some of the ink from the dragonflies wings, with a fine paintbrush and water.
Used the off cuts to make a ribbon across the card. I like the rich colour of this one.
The card on the right is made by using the same stamps and inks, but was stamped out onto 160gsm text and graphic paper, which the ink likes to sink into, hence giving it a more faded look. Quite like but prefer the richness of colour in the first card.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 104 New York!

These Clarity stamps of Ladies are lovely to work with, I seem to be using them on all sorts at the moment. The back ground paper and ribbons are from Anna Griffin. The New York advert is one I downloaded last year, knew it would come in useful! Coloured the Clarity Lady in with pro markers and added a sentiment from PSX in memento black ink, finished off the card by adding a couple of faux pearls. Wish I'd inked around the edge of card now, but as I'd stuck everything down, decided to leave alone.

Tio Challenge 39 Journey with a ticket to ride

Well by now you all know that I love Paris, the sight's, smell's and the shops!
So back we are again..... Have re discovered dried marigold distress ink pad, so for a short while my fingers will not be blue!!
Inked up my tag in dried marigold and antique linen distress inks, and stamped over with a clarity Paris stamp in memento tuxedo black. highlighted area's in dried marigold with with a highly expensive cotton wool bud!! Added a couple of images downloaded from Printable Heaven, that I had already cut out and inked around the edges. Et voila!

Rainbow lady's Challenge 103 Ocean Shades

Ordered a set of silkies and a couple of stamp plates from Imagination Crafts yesterday afternoon, and they arrived this morning!!! Great delivery service or what?
So have been playing with the silkies and really like the effect that you can get using them directly on to a stamp.
The background paper is Brenda Pinnock Designs. Inked up white text and graphic paper with a brayer using big and juicy waterfall ink pad, and then over stamped with a bubbly background stamp from America. Added some seaweed again with the waterfall ink pad using one of Lavinia's stamps. Then used the Persian Velvet silkies to stamp the Clarity seahorses. Cut out a monogram on cuttlebug as this challenge requires one along with the ocean colour scheme, and added it to the words Soul Mate, which I left out stamping the "S".

A passion for fashion!

This is the card I made for my Creating Rainbows swap partner this month, I know that she has received it so I am safe to share!
One of the job's I wanted to do "when I grew up" was to be a designer. I loved making my own clothes or adapting Mum's old stuff in some way, so when I saw the creative expressions vintage sewing plate, well say no more!
The glamour girl is one clarity's and coloured in with pro markers. The button border and sentiment are embossed in black, and the mannequins are stamped in memento tuxedo black ink. I embossed the safety pins in silver, and then cut around the glamour girl with ye old faithful pinking shears!

Mermaid

I love the stamps from lavinia, and as they are only a couple of miles away, it seems fitting that I use them!!
I've had the mermaid stamp for several years now and still love using it, she can look so very different with a change of colour. I stamped her out in memento ink and coloured her in with pro markers. then very carefully inked around the edge of the card with the big and juicy waterfall ink pad. Added the seahorses, fish and urchins also in various shades also from the waterfall pad.
Covered the finished artwork in aslan film, then coated in art institute crystal glitter. Finished off by mounting on to some green and blue card before adding an extra seahorse for some balance.

Crafty Ann's Challenge anything goes

Though I would drop in and say "Hi" Ann!
Stamped around the edge of the card with a hot off the press stitches. Then used Imagination Crafts flowers stamped on to Brenda Pinnock papers, cut them out, and added them to the card front, and popped a gem in their centers. Cut out greeting with cuttlebug hippie chick alphabet dies, originally in pink, but after glueing them down, decided to use pro markers to make them black - very steady hand needed for that one!

TIO by the riverbank

Stamped out the bridge from Lavinia in tuxedo black memento, then added some colour with pro markers. Added foliage and tree's from Clarity in peeled paint, then blended the ink around the edge of the tag.
The sentiment came from a lucky bag of stamps a couple of weeks ago, so I am not sure what the make is, but the little humming bird is one of Anita's morsal stamps and coloured in again using pro markers.

Bah Humbug Challenge Christmas Food

This one stumped me for a while, then I suddenly remembered the little mice had mince pies!
The decoupage is from Cute Companions Christmas cd, used the top of the stocking layer and also the plate with pies and carrot layer. Used Anita's 3d gloss to make the tiles shiny and added crystal art glitter to the tops of the pies for icing sugar.
Stamped the mouse out in tuxedo black memento ink, cut out and coloured in using pro markers.

Bah Humbug Challenge Snowflakes

Haven't made a shaker card in a long time. I've had this dog punch for year's now and it is time it came back out on to the desk! I'd forgotten how cute it was! Punched out two dogs in white glitter card, so that they faced each other. Lined the inside of my aperture card with some paper with stars on, then added some holographic snowflakes. Glued the dogs in to position, and added acetate along with double sided foam tape around the edge. Finished off with a big spoonful of snow aka crystal glitter! Can't decide on a message to go on the front so will leave that till later.

Tio Blogerversary!!

These are the new stamps I bought from Katy's corner, had to have them so I could have my own initials to frank other images with, along with the M/cr frank and the ticket for the dog track at Blackpool! Was that set made for me??? Don't know who the boy's at the bottom are? Hopefully they had a good day out at the dogs! Used my new shabby shutters ink pad (from my winnings last month) and also peeled paint, along with black versafine ink pad. Covered the whole tag in Rock candy crackle paint, might do thicker layer next time. Left to dry in the glorious sunshine of North Wales!!!! Love Elizabeth xxx
