December Round Up of my Favourite Eileen Hull Projects

I can't believe we are in December already, where did the year go.....

I always find it hard to choose my favourite top three projects created with Eileen's Dies, as I love all of them.

So after lots of coffee and several hours deciding which ones to choose, these are the three I came up with.

You can find the Fabric, Fibres and Lace Journal project HERE

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/12/blog-post.html

You can find the Sunflower Wreath tutorial HERE

 https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/12/blog-post.html

You can find the Male Inspired Journal HERE

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/12/blog-post.html

I absolutely loved creating all of these projects, and I can't wait to share what we've been creating behind the scenes ready for the launch of the new Chapter 1 Dies in January.

Happy Crafting, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sparkle and Shine with Eileen Hull Designs

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/11/sparkle-and-shine-with-eileen-hull.html

This month at Eileen Hull Designs it's Sparkle and Shine all the way!

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/11/sparkle-and-shine-with-eileen-hull.html

I've put the Geometric Box together using Matboard covered with gorgeous metallic paper from the DCWV Palms and Ferns pad.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/11/sparkle-and-shine-with-eileen-hull.html

I love the geometric pattern and it coordinates beautifully with Eileen's Geometric Box Die.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/11/sparkle-and-shine-with-eileen-hull.html

I cut Sunflowers out in gold card, gave them a little petal shaping and built them up into a huge flower. And I couldn't resist the sparkly gold gem stone for the centre. The edges of the box have a little of the Sizzix Gold Luster Wax on them. I love how it finished off a project, and of course it smells fabulous!

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/11/sparkle-and-shine-with-eileen-hull.html

And hiding inside of my beautiful box is a reed defuser so it smells as good as it looks, and is ready for Christmas blending in beautifully with the other decorations.

Autumn Sunflower Wreath Tutotial for Eileen Hull Designs

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/blog-post.html

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/blog-post.html

Eileen's new Sunflower Die is the perfect addition to an already fantastic collection of Dies.

It's perfect for this time of year to bring in a blast of colour to your decor, when all plants in the garden are dying back and the nights are drawing in. The sun no longer shines through my kitchen window, and it's miserable!

I used Sizzix Card Stock as I love the texture and the colours are just gorgeous.

I recycled a previously decorated 25cm wreath. I started by stripping off the old faded decorations. I wasn't too bothered about any pieces that were damaged, as they would be covered up with the new paper.

I cut out a selection of Sunflowers in various shades of Orange, Yellows and Browns and of course some Green Leaves.

I found some sunny Yellow floral paper that had been in my stash for way too many years (not the only one guilty of that .............am I?).

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/blog-post.html

I cut the paper into strips roughly about 1 1/2" wide and wrapped them around the wreath form, gluing them at the back. The strips are at a slight angle, so as they fill the wreath they create a slight stepped effect rather than trying to get them perfectly flat.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/blog-post.html

Keep on wrapping the paper until the wreath is totally covered.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/blog-post.html

Now it's time to play with all thos die cuts and build your Sunflowers....

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/blog-post.html

I added a piece of Burlap/Hessian to create a loop to hang the wreath from, and added my Sunflowers, arranging the leaves in between.

Such an easy upcycle, but it brings a lovely bright splash of colour into my now shaded, dark Autumn kitchen.

Hope you have a go, don't forget to share your projects with us in the Eileen Hull Fan Group on Facebook, the link is below.

Eileen Hull Chapter 4 Release Party

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/eileen-hull-chapter-4-release-party.html

Chapter 4 is finally here! Each release is so exciting and it never gets old…Here's what Eileen has to say about it.

The Geometric Box is a different kind of design for me. I love the ease of assembly, the unique shape and and the possibility of expanding the box into larger containers! This is a ScoreBoards die so it may be cut from sturdy materials like matboard, chipboard, metal, leather and fabric. The finished box measures 4” h x 3” w x 4” d… or so… a fun feature of this die is that it adapts to how you shape it. You’ll see 🙂 Watch my livestream videos to show how to expand the possibilities of this die.
Use the Geometric Box for storage- for pencils, silverware, flowers, or tools. The box may also be used as a gift container- imagine adding teabags, a pretty silver spoon and a bow as a get well gift!
The Sunflower is a Bigz L steel rule die- designed to cut and score a myriad of materials. The Sunflower is BIG- it measures about 4" across and comes with a leaf, three sizes of petals and a flower center! Stack layers of petals to make a traditional sunflower, or change colors and create a pink coneflower. The basic shape is there for you to create your own flowers! Make a stem for the flower using wire and your Twist and Style Tool. The coordinating Geometric Box die works perfectly as a vase.
I love the whimsical patterns of vintage cutlery and that's why I created this Silverware 3D embossing folder! The design is so detailed you can actually see a tiny bride and groom on the handle of a cake server.
This folder is perfect for creating seating charts, menus, invitations, cards and recipe books. You would be surprised at the many materials you can emboss- metal, paper, cardboard, Sizzix texture roll and more. Once you have embossed the image, rub a light coat of a metallic Luster Wax over the top of the design and you have an amazing result!
I hope you will give these dies a try. Please remember to share them in the Eileen Hull Fan Club Facebook group so we can all be inspired!

So cool I love these new dies. It's been a little crazy round here this last few weeks, and I had to take a little time out after a fall, so I'm yet to play with the Geometric Box Die, and I can't wait!

So here's what I have created so far using the new dies..........

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/eileen-hull-chapter-4-release-party.html

A recipe book to jot down any Autumn.Winter recipes in. It has Book Rings holding it together so i can add in more pages, or coupons.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/10/eileen-hull-chapter-4-release-party.html

And of course a Mini Wreath for my kitchen, I love the pop of colour against the dark units and brick chimney wall. And the Sizzix Card Stock has the perfect range of colours for every season, not just Autumn.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing the first of my projects for this month using Eileen's latest die releases. Make sure to tune in to Eileen's FB Live/YouTube Livestream and also head on over to see the rest of the project peeks in the blog hop.

Eileen Hull Designs - September is Cards Month

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

During the month of September the Eileen Hull Teams have been sharing their card making projects with everyone, you can check out lots of inspiration over at Eileen's site, via the link below.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

Eileen's Card Caddy Die is a fabulous shape for a card shape, and if you fold your card in half and keep the folded edge inside of the cut line, the hard work is all done for you.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

I also used the die to cut out two layers of paper to cover the card fronts with. One opening right to left, and one opening left to right. This will all come clear in a minute.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

The cards will overlap as above to create a 5 1/4" by 6" gatefold.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

I added a piece of co-ordinating card on the inside, so it made the most of the gorgeous shaped edge that will overlap.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

Next I used the leaf stamp from Eileen's Wonderful World of Flowers stamp set, which was released through Maker Forte. I wanted to create a soft background on the Label, which is also from the Card Caddy Die. I used Wild Honey Distress Ink for both stamping and adding colour around the edges.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

I knew the word stamp would be a little too large for the label, so I masked off the top part and stamped using Potting Soil Archival Ink from Wendy Vecchi. I also added a little more around the edge of the label to increase the depth of the shading. I chose this colour over black because I wanted a softer look.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

And on the inside I added the whole of the word stamp. One of my favourite songs and it was also played at my Wedding, many years ago.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/09/eileen-hull-designs-september-is-cards.html

I don't often make cards these days, but what a quick and easy way of creating something a little different rather than a shop bought one.

A Male Inspired Leather Journal using Eileen Hull's Card Caddy Die

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

Yet another great Die from Eileen Hull........

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

Designed to be used as a Card Caddy, this Die has multiple uses, including of course...........

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

Well it had to be done, yes what a fabulous shape for a journal. And of course I don't need an excuse to delve into my Leather stash. And what a great gift idea for the men in your life.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

The side panel for the Card Caddy makes the perfect pen holder. I puched the leather and handstitched the pieces together using a strong waxed linen thread.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

The stitches show on the inside, but because of the contrast of colour, I like the decoration it adds.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

I added an extra strip of leather to the inside of the spine for extra strength. And punched enough holes to hold three signatures. I didn't stitch my signatures, they are just cut to size and folded around the thread.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

The signatures are held in place with waxed linen thread, as it was much neater than the elastic. Have you noticed the tag on the band? It's double sided, so on one side it's black leather and on the other it's a gorgeous buttery soft tan leather. Hence I chose to use a tan coloured wax thread to coordinate everything together.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/leather-journal-using-eileen-hulls-card.html

And check out the gorgeous embossing from Eileen's new 3D Woven Leather Folder, it was just perfect for this journal. And no excuses for not having a pencil/pen with my journal again.

Hope you've enjoyed having a closer look at my project, and pop over to have a look at all the other fabulous projects my team mates have created, they really are such a talented bunch.

And if you like the papers I've used you can find them over in my Etsy shop A Printers Daughter via the link at the top right hand side of this page.

Happy Crafting.

Eileen Hull / Sizzix Release Party

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/blog-post.html

August is here and it's time for the release of Eileen Hull's new Die Collection, and you know how we celebrate those...................with a Party of course.

The new dies are amazing (as you would expect) and here's what Eileen has to say about them.

"I am so excited to share my Chapter 3 Sizzix die collection! Each piece in the set stands alone but also coordinates with the others to make a truly versatile and valuable addition to your collection.
The ScoreBoards Skinny Mini Book Box is a really great size- it measures 6 3/4" x 4" with an adjustable built in spine from 3/8" to 2 1/4". This die may be used to create a book by die cutting two covers OR a box if you add the side pieces to the covers. If you add the box supports, it will hold mini-slimline size cards.
The Skinny Mini Elements Thinlits will cut a cool star pattern that perfectly covers the front of the Skinny Mini book or the front of a slimline card. And you can also expand the size of the design to create a whole page pattern.
I have been wanting to make a Card Caddy die for a while... so many people are making cards these days that I figured that they would love to have the ability to make a really pretty container to hold them. I love the shape of this box and it goes together so quickly- also fun to decorate! It will hold cards up to 5 1/4" wide.
The 3D folder is called Woven Leather and it looks so realistic! Makes a great background for cards, journal pages or covers.
The team has been busy creating lots of samples so please make sure to read the blog and be watching social media to see their makes!
There will be prizes! Make sure to post your answer in the comments on the live. Ready? Here's the question: "Which is your favorite Ch. 3 die and what would you make with it?" Be specific- inquiring minds want to know!🙂

Back to me....................

I absolutely love the new dies, and know they will be a great addition. Here are a few photo's of the samples I created using them.

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/eileen-hull-sizzix-release-party.html
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/eileen-hull-sizzix-release-party.html

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/eileen-hull-sizzix-release-party.html

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/08/eileen-hull-sizzix-release-party.html

I love to create journals and the Card Caddy is perfect, not only for holding a journal, but also for keeping all the pieces you are adding to your journal, all those small elements for it, contained and safe in one place.

I used one of my own digital paper collections called Butterfly Blues, which is available over in A Printers Daught Etsy shop.

Join in all the fun of the blog hop here

I'll be back with a tutorial showing how I created my project later in the month.

Happy Holiday Memories - for Eileen Hull Inspiration Team

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/07/happy-holiday-memories-for-eileen-hull.html

Last year I created a Camper Van Journal using Eileen's Folio Journal Die. The intention was to journal my Summer travels in it, but as you know not a lot of travelling was done last year. So I have decided after being inspired by this months theme to create a Summer Treats Journal. Well you know I love an ice-cream!

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/07/happy-holiday-memories-for-eileen-hull.html

This is the original journal and you can find the tutoral for it over on YouTube HERE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH31T75na5o&t=68s

This photo was taken twenty five years ago, and it still makes me smile today.........

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/07/happy-holiday-memories-for-eileen-hull.html

How could I not be happy. It was a beautiful Spring day in Majorca with a fabulous and very cold Pina Colada, and of course check out the size of that Ice-Cream Sundae.................Heaven

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/07/happy-holiday-memories-for-eileen-hull.html

The papers are a mixture of the gorgeous ice-cream shades of Sizzix Cardstock for the Leaves and Flowers from Eileen's Bookmark, Tag and Pocket Die set. And I'm using up scraps of mostly Kaisercraft papers, so I think that's where the spotty one came from. The tags and scallop border are out of my Eileen project left-over box. Last month definately made me realise I needed to use more of those up in my projects, and they are ready to go!

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2022/07/happy-holiday-memories-for-eileen-hull.html

And talking of spotty, that was my favourite blouses, Pale Pink with a White Polka Dot. I think I wore it until it wore out!

So head on over to Eileen Hull Designs and check out the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team. They all have amazing projects, and it's great to see where their favourite places to travel are too.

Hapy Crafting.
