Tio Challenge 44 Heart and Soul

I typed out my sentiment and printed it on to text and graphic paper, then using a mixture of fired brick, dried marigold and scattered straw I inked up my background around the edges.
The dragonfly and fern stamps are from Imagination Crafts by a company called Chapel Road Artstamps. I inked up both stamps with the fired brick ink and blotted before adding the images on to the tag. The smaller butterflies and dragonfly stamps are secret until this weekend! Guess you know where they came from then? I finished off by adding some extra colour by using my pastel chalk pencils, I love the delicate shading that you can get from these, and they work beautifully on matt cardstock!

Fun in the sun!

I am in so much trouble! How did we get to the 23rd? My friend's birthday, have bought all the pressie's but not wrapped or finished her card off! So funny I can't actually remember how old she is (due to too many holiday's telling fib's to get free drink's! ups!) All I can remember is she is younger than me......
Stamped out the Penny Black images with memento ink and coloured in using promarkers, which I might add are fab on stardream card. The main image was stamped out on Text and Graphic paper and mounted on to rust coloured card stock.

Silkies and Tim Holtz Dies

It would be so funny if tomorrows challenge was chipboard! Have been playing with the silkies I bought from Imagination Crafts (hope you have had a go with yours Jenny?). I love these new dies from Time Holtz, I cut them out from the boxes that the gift aid envelopes arrived in at work. It's perfect for going through the cuttlebug, as it seems to compact the recycled card even more, making it easier to paint. Bit on the pretty pastel side for me, but hey! Might try a different colour next!

Rainbow Lady's Alcohol Ink Christmas Challenge

Inked up Clarity card stock with sailboat blue, aqua and willow inks then stamped over with memento tuxedo black with a Curious by Design "Joy" stamp.
Used duck egg blue stardream card stock for the base card, and inked up with the same colour scheme.
Stamped out the word "Angels" on to the Clarity card and cut out all images with the new Nellie Snellon frames, mounted onto black mirri card, and added to the base card. Added some narrow black silk ribbon to the tag.

Tio Challenge 43 Scene in my garden

My garden is work in progress at the moment. My Mum had designed and grown the plants for going in, so now that's my summer job! Hence the wheelbarrow and tools, blisters and bruises!
The stamps are from Aspects of Design and have some fabulous sentiments on the theme plate as well.
Inked up my tag with a mixture of dried marigold, brushed corduroy, scattered straw and antique linen. Stamped over with brushed corduroy and added some shading with my new pastel chalk pencils, new toys from the stamp addicts retreat!

TIO Challenge alcohol ink and acetate

Sorry I'm late I'm suffering from brain drain after the Stamp Addicts retreat last weekend!
Have had an experiment with alcohol inks and a laminating pouch, hope this counts as acetate?
I used willow, aqua and a dribble of tattered straw inks, then sprinkled in some turquoise heat resistant fine glitter and also some heat resistant iridescent sequins. It is vitally important that you let this dry before running your project through the laminating machine, as I found out!
I inked my tag up, then stamped out two Clarity Seahorses with the big and juicy waterfall ink pad. Chose which part of the laminate I wanted to use, trimmed it to size and attached it to the tag with an eyelet, multi coloured ribbons and some fish charms.
