This die is so much fun and it only takes two sheets of A3 matboard to create (with lots of useable leftover pieces). It's the perfect size to creat a Work Case to hold all your Spools and Bobbins in.
There are always certain colours that are my "Go To" threads and to have them to hand, neat and tidy beside my sewing machine is just perfect!
I've used Katie Pertiet's beautiful papers from 49&Market. I absolutely love Katie's paper collections arnd they are the perfect weight of paper for die cutting.
And I just have to mention my beautiful vintage table cloths. Both are damaged and stained, they were bought to cut up to use in projects, I must admit though I am struggling to chop into these beauties.
The handles on the top of the Work Case are created with the same brads as used in the Cantilever system with four tiny washers added to the brads before they were inserted through the board. This gives them a little raise so you can get hold of them easier.
I added little fussy cut flowers and butterflies over the holes that weren't needed just to cover them up.
And all of the edges were brushed with a little Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to get rid of the stark white edges and blend the colours together.
Happy Crafting.
