Eileen Hull New Releases - Lace 3D Textured Impressions A5 Folder

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-new-releases-lace-3d.html
I don't know about you but when all the toys are out on the desk I am forever loosing my dies or die cuts.............. so in a bit to be more organised I made myself a little working folder.
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-new-releases-lace-3d.html
I have two pockets on the inner right hand side to hold my die cuts and on the left hand side I have a magnetic sheet to hold my dies whilst I work. Why I ask myself have I not thought of this before!
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-new-releases-lace-3d.html
I cut a piece of 49&Market paper 12" x 8 1/2" and embossed one side then flipped the folder round and embossed the other sided so the patterns mirrored each other.

This left a plain gap down the centre which made the perfect place to create a spine. I just carefully creased the paper where the pattern finished on both sides, and ended up with a 1/2" plain spine to write on.

I then inked all over the cover inside and out using crushed olive distress ink, it's quite a bright colour so hopefully the folder will be easy to find! This brought to life the wonderful Lave from the embossing folder.

On the inside I trimmed a sticky backed piece of magnetic and added it to the inside cover to hold my dies while I work, so annoying when those tiny dies go hiding! and on the right hand side I created two shallow pockets to hold the die cut pieces.

Eileen Hull New Releases with Sizzix - The Mini Book

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-new-releases-with-sizzix.html
Time for a closer look at the Mini Book Die this week. This die is fantastic as you can create a Mini Book with one pass through your die cutting machine, it's so simple.
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-new-releases-with-sizzix.html
I covered a piece of Matboard with a piece of 49&Market paper and cut out the journal.
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-new-releases-with-sizzix.html
I spotted the word "Believe" and roughly cut it out from the paper. Then I carefully positioned it on the die to cut out the strip for the spine with the word showing prominently.

The inner covers are stamped using one of Eileens flower stamps from the Wonderful World of Flowers set using Evergreen Bough Distress Ink before brushing the ink over the top to blend the colours out.

The pages were cut by folding the papers in half and carefully placing them on the die so the spine didn't get cut through. The pages were then hand stitched into a signature and glued into the spine of the book. Of course I had to include a little musline for a shabby edge. The sentiment on the front of the journal is from the 49&Market paper pack, and fitted perfectly on the die cut label.

Eileen Hull March Realeases with Sizzix - The Storage Box Die

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-march-realeases-with-sizzix.html
Sadly I missed the Release Party for Eileen Hull's new Sizzix collection. So I have decided to share my makes, one per week over the month of March.
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/03/eileen-hull-march-realeases-with-sizzix.html
First up is a sneeky peek of both the Storage Box and the Mini Book Die. So this week I'm sharing a few photo's of the fabulous Sorage Box Die. It is cut firstly from Matt Board and then covered with a selection of papers from the Vintage Artistry Essentials designed by Katie Pertiet for 49&Market. These collections are fantastic as they are double sided and you can mix and match with the die cuts perfectly.

The top of the box is decorated using the laser cut elements from the paper kit. The top edge of both the box lid and the box itself paper lace to finish off the edge. All of the edges are brushed with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink, to introduce more colour to the design.

I love the design of this box, there is a lip around the inside of the lid, which means it is held in place perfectly.

It's a fantastic size for storage in any workroom or office and I know I'll be making many more of these as gifts!

Happy Crafting.
