Crafty Ann's Challenge 2 Black White & 1 Colour

The second challenge has come around so quickly! Congratulations to Beryl a well deserved win on the first one. Everything on my desk is pink at the moment the paper, the ink and gems, so my colour is Pink to go along with the black and white. Put a hint of brilliance pearlescent purple (nearly pink) on to white card, to create shading around the edges and also in the centre. Stamped Lavinia's fairies with versafine black over the top. Christened my new Anna Griffin flourish stamps around the edge again in versafine, and matted card onto black cardstock. Used a pink card for my base and cut out some swirls from cricuits joys of the season cartridge in black. Made a frame with the swirls and added some glitter glue for fairie kisses. I finished off the card with a ready made slider and some black ribbon. Love black and pink together. Hope you enjoy. Elizabeth xxx

Dragon's Dream Tag Challenge - is back!!!

Yippee!! Honey this means you are feeling so much better xx Here is my little offering. Bought the stamps when we were on retreat with Stamp Addicts. They are by Rubber Stamp Concepts, and I hope the Angels show up on my scanned images as well as they stamp! Love playing with inks, my nails at the moment are a cross between blue and silver, fine for our WW girls night out, but from work Church (may have to go gold and red) sorry northern sense of humour kicking in! can't wait for next years retreat. See you there xxx

Bird House

It's a Crafty friend's Birthday this week and I never know what to buy for her! So when I spotted this plain little bird house in In-Store for £1-99, I thought how about decorating it?
I stamped the free little owl stamp from craft stamper magazine with black staz-on, along with a fence from messy rabbit, then added some tiny flowers and foliage from Anita's CD stamps using teal blue and hydrangea blue staz-on. And have coloured everything in with my Lyra Polycolour pencil's in the hope that they are waterproof? Quite fancy one of these myself, may just have to have anither trip into town in the morning!!

Celebration

Here's my entry for Craft Ann's first challenge celebration. I did this scrapbook page a couple of years ago for a competition in Papercraft Essentials and although I wasn't a winner, they actually printed it in issue 26.
The photo at the top of the page is of Gerry chasing confetti, hence the confetti and crystals tumbling down the page!
The black and white photo at the bottom of the page is one of my favourites, Mum, my Sister and I. We didn't know the picture was being taken so it's completely natural laughing, fillings and all!
The background paper is by Brenda Pinnock, I use a lot of her papers as I love the colours she chooses. The frames are left over bit's from an Anna Griffin kit. The title is cut out with the Hippie Chick alphabet on Cuttlebug and the confetti was made from various punches, along with aurora borialis crystals. Well I do like a little sparkle!

Thank you card for my friend

OK am now addicted to this technique!
I made this card as a thank you to a dear friend of mine, for spoiling me with a whole forest of tree stamps, from Clarity for my Birthday.
Again I used the big and juicy spice ink pad to create the mountains and sun in the background.
I stamped the large fir tree and birds in the marvey heritage dark walnut.
I found the tag in a box of K&Co embellishments it says "Nature is the art of God" how very true! I used cut and dry to add some of the orange tones form the spice ink pad, and the stamped the top of the fir tree at the sides in the dark walnut ink.

I really enjoyed making this card although the colours are a little more subdued than the other cards I made.
I used the big and juicy ink pad in the spice colours, and again tore paper to create mountains.
I carefully followed all of Barbara's instructions and brayered over, moving the paper and re-braying to fade out the mountain range into the distance.
I punched a 1" hole in a piece of paper and then brayered over to create the sun.
I only used two stamps on this project the flock of birds and the large fir tree, both from Clarity both of which I stamped with Marvey Heritage in dark walnut.

Fairies in my garden

Have finally managed to sit down and spend some time playing with my new stamps, and having a well needed practice with my brayer!
I love playing with inks and started off by brayering the background with big and juicy in waterfall. I then ripped paper to create the mountains in the background and went over with the brayer again. Keeping the paper on I used cut and dry foam to edge the mountain with black versafine, to give them some definition. I then decided to brayer over the mountains again with Tim Holtz tattered rose ink. I decided to make the forefront of the picture look like water so I covered the lower half up and added versafine ink this time to the bottom of the mountains, to create what I hope looks like a shore. I used Lavina Stamps Fairy Castle, Fairy and toadstools along with Clarity's small foliage stamp and large oak tree.
