Chameleon Pens Friend Friday Blog Hop with IndigoBlu

Over the month of June we have been having a blog hop over at the IndigoBlu Blog
using Chameleon Pens alongside our IndigoBlu stamps.

I've used mine to colour the Lilac's from the Floral Fantasy Stamp Set to use on a mixed media project.

I started by covering an 8" square canvas board with scraps of book pages and washi tapes, to add some interest in the background.

Then I added Fine Modelling Paste through the Roses Stencil and also through the Diamond Stencil to add some dimension to the background.

Once the paste had dried I then coated the whole canvas with diluted White GeeSsoGood before starting to build up my colours using Wimberry Pie  Marshmallow and Townhouse Teal.

I chose to use the little boy from the Lost Family Collection and trimmed around the boys outline so more of the background could be seen. After colouring and fussy cutting the Lilacs, I arranged them along with a couple of Butterflies and fibres from my stash.

Let The Words do the Talking over at Frilly and Funkie

This is my entry for the current challenge over at Frilly and Funkie  where the theme is "Let the words do the talking"
I've used a mixture of Prima and Kaisercraft papers as they were a perfect match for each other.

I love the sentiments that Kaisercraft use in their collections they always get them just right. The butterfly was cut out from a left over scrap page and the flowers are from my stash. The clock was in the June box from Craft Box UK.

Thanks for looking

Kaisercrafts Just Landed Collection for June 2016

I love that saying it is so true, and goes with the photo of the Temple perfectly. I love the map background and the vintage tones to this collection. They really suit the colour of the stonework.

Gerard managed to take some great pictures on his trip last year, I just need him to fill in the names and dates then the page is complete.

Happy Scrapping

Kaisercrafts Just Landed Collection - June

One of the other new collections that Kasiercraft have brought out for June 2016 is the "Just Landed Collection".  It is in muted natural colours and just perfect for scrapping a city break, with lots of skylines, maps and as always fabulous words.

These little girls stood and posed for my Husband to take their picture in Japan last autumn, how beautiful do they look in their National Dress.

Craft Stampers June Challenge Reminder

Just a little reminder that the new challenge has started over at the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog where we would like to see you getting inky with your stamps.

I created an inky background using Distress ink applied with blending brushes, finishing up with Hickory Smoke around the edge.

Then I spritzed water through the Quarters stencil from Kaisercraft and mopped up with a clean paper towel to take the ink away in the dotty pattern.

I printed out some of the digi designs that match the free stamp on the cover of the July issue, and coloured them using Prismacolour pencils, cut them out, and added them to the now dry background, along with a sentiment stamp from Kaisercrafts  Treasured Moments Collection.

The washed out stencil dots make brilliant bubbles.

So that's my make, what will yours be? Pop over to the blog for more inspiration from the rest of the team and find out how to join in the challenge. Check out the fabulous sponsor prize that's ujp for grabs as well!!!!

Have a great weekend

Boho Dreams Collection - Kaisercraft June Release

Just a few samples from the new June release Boho Dreams Collection from Kaisercraft.

The colours are soft and muted summer shades, with dream catchers, florals and as always from Kaisercraft, fabulous wording blocks.

Everything I've used has been cut out from the sheets of 12"x12" papers.

Although I couldn't resist adding a few real feathers to the dream catcher.

Happy Crafting

Canvas Corp Challenge - Family

I have spent most of this weekend looking for a stack of 7Gypsies papers, and managed to find everything but......
I was determined to enter the challenge this time around, so have resorted to these gorgeous papers from Marion Smith's Romance Novel collections.

The photograph is of my Mum and Aunt, not sure of the date, hence I have a gap to fill it in when I'm ready. The papers match their lives really well. My Aunt loved to travel and worked in a Costing Office, so the typewriter is perfect. and as some of you know my Mum was a printer, a very glamorous one at that!! She made the dess she is wearing in the photo, in several different fabrics, she love the pattern so much.

The flowers are Petaloo, and the cotton lace and doily are from my stash.

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge June 2016 - Take a Technique - Lets Get Inky!

Welcome to another challenge over at the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog where this month we would like you to get "inky" with your stamps. This month I'm also super excited as I designed the Seahorse cover stamp.

I created a background by blending Shade Lilac, Blue Lagoon and Peacock Feathers together. Then I tapped the Twisted Citron onto my craft mat to get a little ink on there, added water and splattered onto the blended background. I splattered in an upwards motion, so the splatters thinned out at they got near the top, to give the illusion of bubbles raising to the surface.

I stamped out the Seahorse twice using black Archival ink, and following the instructions in the magazine, printed out the digi Seahorse, making him larger and also I flipped him round, as I did with the project in the magazine. That's the beauty of a digi image.

After colouring the images in using Prismacolour pencils, I cut them out and added them to the inky background, along with one of the stamps from Stamposaurus Beach Words set, and added a scribble around the edge of the project before adding it to a 6" square card blank.

So there you have it "Lets Get Inky" and as always we have a fabulous prize up for grabs, wish I could enter this time just look what's up for grabs!

Five bottles of the yummy new Infusions from PaperArtsy. So get stamping, get inky and get joining in, as well as a chance to win this fabulous set there is also a chance to have your artwork featured in the magazine itself, how cool is that!
