Dragons Dream #131 Merry Christmas

Wow I cannot believe this is our last TIO challenge before Christmas, this year has gone by so quickly. This time around we have a Christmas themed challenge, with no recipe to follow, the only stipulation, as always is that you use at least one real stamp on your tags and have fun!
I am back in vintage mode again and loving this Kandi Core card form Kanban, it looks like old leather when it's distressed and sanded.
My cheeky little Robin had to make an appearance again, this time I've cut him out and layered him up along with some foliage, also cut from the Kandi Core. He's one of many to have been watercoloured with Distress Inks for a Vintage feel, the others are lined up ready for my own Christmas Cards. The HOTP sentiment is embossed using Wow Pearl Gold Sparkle, love their powders!

Play Time

At last a chance to play with new toys! For a change I thought I'd make some Calendars for the Country Market, ideal as Christmas presents and I can charge more than I would for a card, like my thinking lol.

Dragons Dream TIO #120 Steampunk

This time over at Dragons Dream TIO Monique is asking us to dream "Steampunk" Fantasy, Inventions and Victoriana are the ingredients.
I created the background of my tag with oil pastels, heated and blended together until I was happy with the effect, as I wanted it to look smokey and grey. All the stamps I've used are from Kanban, and stamped and embossed in black.
The gown was coloured using a mixture of Promarkers. Great to be back blogging again, can't believe it's been a  month since my last post!!

TIO #110 Birdsong

This week at Dragons Dream TIO Wanda has chosen the book "Birdsong" yet another one this bookworm hasn't read!!!! I got a little carried away with a new pack of Kanban cardstock that I received this week, so needed to play. The gorgeous apricot and greys have been muted with good old black soot distress inks to make them less pretty. I cannot believe that I bought this pack because the colours matched my living room lol, but gorgeous colours they are! The flowers were stamped with an Anna Griffin floral stamp, inked around the edges before they were rolled in to shape. The bird and the swirl were both die cut from Kanban card and inked. TIO #109 The Time Traveller's Wife

I'm here better late than never, sorry Frankie. That will teach me to check that my camera battery is charged!!! Anyway here's my DT piece for DragonsDream TIO this week. Helen has chosen the book "The Time Traveller's Wife", another one I've not read, and me a book worm lol. Have been playing with mica powders, spritzing and stamping over them (another little addiction of mine, still could have worse ones lol). My tag started with this sentiment out of a HOTP ephemera book, I love butterflies and they are a sybol of new begginings, something we all need from time to time. The butterfly stamps are by Artemio and the clock face by Sir Tim. Hope you join in the challenge, just remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag.By the way the challenge is running on a fortnightly basis whilst everyone is so busy, so it gives you extra time to join in. TIO#107 Time Traveller

This week over at Dragons Dream TIO sees our last challenge of this year, we are all sooooooo in need of a rest lol, and to recharge our creative batteries ready for 2012!!
This last choice of film has been chosen by Frankie, the head Dragon herself so please join in and remember to use at least one real stamp!

My offering this week is of course the very dapper "Jasper" from Kanban.  He was stamped out on to white card stock, and coloured in using promarkers, cut out and added on to a piece of black Kanban card which had been stamped with the cogs and clocks from the "Jasper" set and then embossed with brass sparkle Wow powder. This week over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog we are asking you to use a silver coloured theme, in celebration of Cynthia and Geoff's Silver Wedding! I was drawn like a little magpie to this gorgeous girlie (and silver) cardstock from Kanban. I love the holographic perfume bottles and butterflies on it. Rainbow Lady's Challenge #174 Falling Leaves

This week over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog we are asking you to add falling leaves to your creations. I've used a Graphicus tree stamp coloured in with promarkers, and then sprayed with gold spray and sparkle. All of the leaves are cut from scraps of card with a Joy die, the only new piece of card is the black Kanban base card! Rainbow lady's Challenge 151 - Lady in Red

This for me was a very quick card as it's made from one of the gorgeous Kanban toppers along with a co-ordinating sentiment, to which I've added a few red gemstones, some pre made red roses and a few die cut leaves, cut out from left over card. Rainbow Ladies Challenge 126

Scrapbook page for a change.
The paper is from HOTP it reminded me of the checked shirt's my Grandpa used to wear for work. The photo has been printed out on to text and graphic paper as I wanted to keep the image as matt as possible, then mounted on to black mirri board.
The Kanban poppies have been stamped out using memento tuxedo black ink and coloured in with promarkers, then a touch of black glitter added in the centre of each one. They were cut out and added around the photo. The font is cut out from the Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge, I decided not to use the top layer as it was too fussy. The handsome tanned chap in the foreground was my Grandpa, a Royal Engineer that made it home, a fantastic pianist, bookworm and my playmate whilst growing up. My Hero.

TIO 55 Bead Dazzled!!

Better late than never !
The background of my tag is inked up in a mixture of antique linen, tattered rose and brushed corduroy distress inks.
Both the sentiment and the Lady are from the new range of acrylic stamps that Kanban brought out this month. They are stamped using memento tuxedo black ink and coloured in with lyra polycolours.
Bronze and clear gems were added as jewell's and the beads to creat the loop at the top of the tag, have been around in my stash for ages.
