Had a fantastic day at Port Sunlight yesterday catching up with friends, and meeting up with a few of the other Craft Stamper Take It Make It DT members, and of course a little (errm research) retail therapy.
So after unpacking my goodies, ooooing and cooooing, again it's playtime!
And first off the blocks, fab new JOFY stamps. I did intend buying flowers, but after seeing these little fellows, how could I resist.
Hels theme over at The Sunday Stampers this week is "Brown" so perfect for the christening of these little chaps!!!

Dragons Dream #163 "Z" and a Face
This time at the Dragons Dream TIO Challenge, the fantastic Silvia has chosen the theme "Z" and a Face. My "Z" is "Zen" inner peace, relaxation, and order. Something that I'm not feeling this afternoon, due to a new leak above my desk, yet again!!!!! Who knew so much rain had come down last night :(
My embossed background has been coloured with a mixture of Pan Pastels and Treasure Gold.
The Lady was in a stamped image swap I did a couple of years ago, so unfortunately I don't know who she is made by. She too has had the Pan Pastel treatment and a little spritzing of pearl mica. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch, which is permanently on my desk.
We would love to have you join in our challenge just please remember to include at least one real stamp on your tag.

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge
Only a few more hours to enter into the Take It make It Challenge this month. There are some gorgeous JOFY Paper Artsy paints up for grabs for the lucky winner, check out the gorgeous colours here.
I've had great fun playing with this technique, and still have several sheets of gorgeous patterned paper and card ready for use in the future.
This is a piece of kraftcard that I cleaned my acrylic black on after my first make. The bubble impression is from a Stampcamp stamp that I love and use often, am very sad they won't be at Port Sunlight this weekend, as they always have very different and quirky stamp plates. The butterfly kisses is an old rub-on that came in a ribbon box from Anna Griffin, I re-discovered all the gorgeous little charms in there as well, ups so much stash so little time lol.
See you at Port Sunny!!

Kate Crane's Art Journal Challenge March
Finally caught up with my March pages for the Art Journal Challenge. This month has been filled with various events, seminars and parties for me, all needing tickets!!!!! So hence my theme and assortment of tickets cut from a sheet of DCWV paper and added to my inky pages.
I've still not finished adding in my diary entries yet, but at least my page is done!

Away with the butterflies again
Made a few more canvas's for my craft fairs, thought I'd try some different colours for a change. The paint has a very slight gold sparkle in places which doesn't show up very well on camera.
Have got so many new idea's buzzing round my head, need a couple of extra days in the week to make them!

Craft Stamper's Take It Make It Challenge
The is still plenty of time to join in the Take It Make It challenge over at the Craft Stamper Blog
where you will finds lots of inspiration from the DT and there are some yummy PaperArtsy paints up for grabs!!
I decided to use the same stamp again, just to show how different it looks with a funky coloured background on canvas.
Very bright colours for me, but I wanted to do something outside of my "comfort" colours. I stencilled versamark ink through the Harliquin stencil and embossed with the same black powder as my butterfly for a total contrast against the background.
Love this tecnique as it creates a great texture and you can lift several prints off your block whilst cleaning it!

Dragons Dream TIO #162 The Letter "C" and Metal
The lovely Helen has chosen the theme over at Dragons Dream this time, and would love to see the use of metal on your tags along with the letter "C".
I grew up watching Charlie Chaplin films with my Grandpa, so he has a special place in my heart with happy memories, and of course he has to be my "C".
I kept to monochrome this time as the films were black and white, and of course he had to have an old fashioned streetlamp to stand under.
I used craft metal for my TH mini tattered flowers along with scraps of grey spotty paper.
We would love for you to join us in our challenge, just please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Take It Make It Challenge March 2014 Mono Printing
Very excited this morning to be sharing my first piece as one of the very lucky DT members for the Craft Stamper's Take It Make It challenge.
The month's theme is "Mono Printing" using acrylic paints on an acrylic block to create a pattern.
I made a yummy mixture of Martha Stewart and PaperArtsy paints in Mermaid, Snowflake and the aptly named Easter Egg (pink Martha Stewart), smooshed them around with my fingers and made prints on to several sheets of card, including Kraftcard as I wanted to see how they looked against something other than white. I then had a play with stamping in to the paint for a different texture and ended up with some gorgeous pieces of card for use later on.
The IndigoBlu butterflies were stamped out using Archival ink, cut out and added to my chosen section of card, which is matted on to some corrugated cardstock, kraftcard and a black basecard, with some garden twine to tie the colours together.
I am so very proud to have been chosen as a DT member for the best craft magazine on the market, and to be in the company of some amazingly talented teamies, check out their blogs, and join in the challenge via the link on my sidebar.
