The Key to my Heart and Indigoblu back on Hochanda Sunday 28th August at 2pm and 5pm
I've been having a great time working with the new range of papers and stamps from IndigoBlu. They are launching on Sunday with Kay Halliwell-Sutton on Hochanda at 2pm and 5pm, and I think it could be yet another sell-out situation!
I love creating a faux rust technique using Indigoblu's Cottage Garden paints and coarse texture paste, so easy to do and so effective. I have to say a huge thank you after having been inspired by the fabulous Maxine Jones for that one.
So the key to my rusty old heart is safe under the careful watch of the beautiful Miss Austin!!

Kaisercrafts Barber Shoppe Collection
Loving this collection from Kaisercraft, lot's to fussy cut out. This dapper chap came from a full sheet of fabulous images.
As always there are great word strips along the bottom edge of the papers.
This chap came from the same sheet, along with the great pieces of ephemera.
And check out the gorgeous background of Moustaches, Glasses and hats, fabulous!
There's so much to cut out and use that the only embellishments I added were some die cut cogs and a couple of 3D gel drops.
Love the weathered wood sheet, it's such gorgeous shades of blues, greens and cream.
And the playing cards make great embellishments, and are easy to cut out :)
Have got to say this is one of my favourite collections so far of the year!!
If you want a closer look then come and say hi at Burleydam Garden Center Saturday 20th August, I'll be demoing from 10am till 4pm.

Don't Wait For The Moments........
Hi I'm back with another magical canvas this time using the beautiful new Jewel stamp from IndigoBlu
I started by adding Fine Modelling Paste through the gorgeous new Butterfly stencil. In the center I added one half of the wings (all will become clear) and down each side I added the beautiful floral spray. Once the paste was dry I gave the whole canvas a coat of White GeeSsoGood and set it aside to dry.
I created a masterboard using a mixture of colours blended roughly together on a piece of white card stock. Once that was dry I stamped out a selection of Butterflies and one of the sentiments from the Floral Fantasy Stamp Set
After stamping out Jewel using Onyx Black Versafine, I carefully cut him out, and cut off his horn to create a horse. I watercoloured him using the new Luscious Pigment Powders and after giving him a quick blast with a heat gun I added Unicorn Sparkles to his mane and tail. I cut the sentiment into strips and cut out a selection of the Butterflies, ready to add on to the canvas.
Starting at the center of the canvas I added Marshmallow blending out towards the edge with Coastal Walk and Kingfisher Blue Cottage Garden paints.
Then working from my Luscious pallet I added a mixture of the gorgeous orange, red and purple by using them to watercolour over the texture paste. The colours are just so beautiful and the shimmer has a real wow factor! I then added my beautiful bespoke horse, with the butterfly wings behind him, giving an illusion that he is flying. Using the pink and purple Luscious I gave the wings a hint of colour.
I added butterflies inbetween the lines of the sentiment and some splatters using both the black and white GeeSooGood, and edged around the canvas using Black Soot Distress ink to frame the picture.
See you soon.

Frilly and Funkie By the Sea
As you know I love anything Seaside related, so when I saw this challenge over at Frilly and Funkie I just couldn't resist joining in.
I started the canvas back in June but was never quite happy with it, even though it's full of lot's of lovely papers and embellishments, it just wasn't right.
I'd bought a magazine from Practical Publishing that came with papers, dies, stamps etc so my initial plan was to use these to make a card using the bathing belle, which I did. Then came the lightbulb moment!!!!!!!
How fab would that be as the focal point on my "never quite finished" canvas........job done another UFO completed, and a new canvas destined for my seaside themed sun room.
