TIO #80 Fishes

This week it's Janet's turn to start the dream over at the DragonsDream TIO Challenge, with Fishes!! I bought the fish skeleton from IndigoBlu at Port Sunlight a couple of weeks ago, with this challenge in mind, but couldn't decide whether to use him or not. So snook him in the picture anyway!! I started with a cream base tag, and inked it up with a mixture of tumbled glass, stormy sky and brushed corduroy distress inks. For the seabed I spit a Mica tile and made layers of gilding flakes, ink and cosmic shimmer UTEE, then heated. I managed to add this to the tag with a blob of glue hidden behind the flakes. The chipboard letters are coloured in with a mixture of onyx satin, tuscan satin and bronze brocade Silkies. I also then used the same blend of Silkies to stamp out the Lavinia fish. Hope you enjoy the challenge this week, pop over to join us by clicking on the DragonsDream logo on my sidebar. Elizabeth xxx

A gorgeous tag. I love the vibrancy of the fish stamped with silkies, and the mica tile and gilding flakes seabed is very effective indeed. I had to look up close to see if it was crushed seashells!

Finally Mr Blogger lets me comment! Love the tag such a shimmery soft effect. Great background and using the mica pieces makes a wonderful effect.

I love your tag this week! The base colour is gorgeous, and the mica and flakes are a fab touch.

Love this! You have captured the sunshine streaming through to the depths - wonderful colours and design. Like the gold leaf glinting in the sunshine and the word. Reminds me of holidays in Greece.

What a marvelous tag, Elizabeth! I especially like your seabed. Really glittery and beautiful.
