Happy New Year and welcome. Eileen Hull's first release of the year is a collection of classic's that everyone has been asking to be brought back I'm sharing two of the re-released dies in this post. The Embroidery Hoop and the Needle Book. There is also a Classic Cantilever Sewing Box Die which is amazing and once I've topped up my matboard stash will be my next project.
I created three different Needle Books one from Primrose Texture Roll which is embossed with Eileen's Sweater 3D Embossing Folder, and holes punched out with another fabulous Die, the Border Stitchlits. I love cross stitch and this die is designed to recreate that effect on card and paper.
The second Needle Book is cut out from 49&Market papers with signatures cut using Eileen's Folder Die from the Envelope, Folder and Flowers Die set. They were carefully hand stiched before the spine being glued into the inside of the Book. The cover is decorated with a few embellishments from the 49&Market collection.
I love creating journals, so grabbed Eileen's Large Journal Die and cut out supplies to create Two Journals.
Inside of both Journals are eight signatures, hand stitched and bound into the book. I used the Navigator 120gsm paper that I print out my digitial papers onto as it has a fabulous surface to write or draw on.
As you can see I love to cross stich, this is just one of many projects that are on the go at the moment.
The outside of both Journals are covered with a selection of various 49&Market papers and embellishments. I used Gesso to knock back the colours to give a muted tone. And of course the focal point of the cover is the fabulous Embroidery Hoop Die.
Another Die that lives on my desk is Eileen's Tiled Alphanumeric Die, you never know when you need to create a title or word.
Loved hand stitching the signatures it's so relaxing to do. And the holes on the spine are hidden by ephemera as they weren't needed.
