Leather and Glass Beads

After spending a couple of mojo searching hours on Pinterest a couple of weeks back, I kept coming across loads of leather and glass beaded bracelets. So I ordered a few spools of leather thong in different colours to experiment with.
This is the first bracelet made with four different shades of glass beads and the natural leather.

I think it would look great with turquoise running through the centre, might have to try that one next! Elizabeth xx

Dragons Dream TIO #136 Purple, Orange and Butterflies

This time over at Dragons Dream TIO it's May's turn to start us off with a new recipe. Orange, Purple and Butterflies are the ingredients and of course one real stamp must be used!
It's been great to get back in my workroom again and get messy, I've missed that while I've been working downstairs in my nice clean kitchen lol.
I had a lovely "splattering" session with some Moonglow Starbursts, I love the names they have, Tiger Lily Red Orange and French Lilac Violet and they have such a beautiful sheen with the mica, it's just a shame it doesn't show up well on camera.
The Crafty Individuals butterflies were stamped out in Archival ink and I added a touch of black soot around the edges of the tag to loose some of the whiteness of the card.
I hope you enjoy our challenge this time around and pop over to join in, just click on the link on my sidebar to take you there.

Exhibition

These are a few of the felted items I've had on display this morning down at Rhos-on-Sea. The cream and brown wrap is still work in progress, although I still can't make my min up about beading the edges or not.
The purple wrap in the centre I could have sold ten times over this morning along with the felted corsages, which are always popular, think I made well over 200 of those last year, phew! I will be making more felted items to sell at the fairs and the Country Market this year as people have been asking for more in different colours.
I also took down one of the scrapbooks I keep my Dragons Dream tags in which people were very interested in, as they are all so different. There's a little felted and beaded bag hiding in the background along with a quilted wall hanging I made a few years ago  also had an order for a frame, so a great morning!

Dragons Dream #135 Night Riverbank

This time over at Dragons Dream TIO May has chosen the theme of "Night Riverbank" and would love to see driftwood, insects and a night riverbank scene.
Can you tell I'm looking forward to Summer with these colours lol, the wind is howling here today and it is very chilly.
The riverbank stamp is one of Sheena Douglas's, and the Dragonflies are from Caroline's, she has some beautiful stamps all designed by herself. You will find her at Port Sunlight in May, as well as on line.
I did have a genuine piece of driftwood, honest, but my little furry mate took a liking to it, and it was gone!
Hope you join us in our challenge this time, just click on the link on my sidebar to join in, just please remember to include the use of one real stamp on your tag. For some reason I keep thinking about Hammie Hampster now lol, Elizabeth xxx

Jasper

Well I'm still sorting out the things I want to exhibit on Friday, can't believe it's so close, might start panicking soon!
This is a pen drawing of my cat Jasper done many years ago, he was a beautiful chap, but very moody, and boy could he pack a punch! We broke in to a house to rescue him, as the previous occupiers had done a bunk, and left him locked inside. Confession over lol.
It must be nearly thirty years since we lost him, so this scribbling is older than that which shocked me, as it doesn't seen that long ago. Elizabeth x

Bunting

Another job off the list, my bunting is finished, hurray!!! The photo's aren't brilliant as it's such a dark day here in North Wales, and we are also shaded by the woods at the back of the house.
It's going to go on the wall in my workroom, but as I need it for Friday when it's my turn for the exhibition I didn't want to put it up to take it down again, if you see what I mean lol, so you got to see my dusty mantle in the kitchen! It's a piece of driftwood we found on the beach at Llandulas, and when we had knocked the wall down in the kitchen, and were luckily enough to find the fireplace, it was the perfect finishing touch.
Shamed in to dusting it now lol.
Next job on the list!!! Elizabeth xxx
