Craft Stamper's April Challenge - Spring Flowers

Just a little reminder the the new challenge for April over at The Craft Stamper Magazine Blog is up and running.

I've used the gorgeous After Morris papers, along with the Anemone stamped and coloured in using Ruby Slippers and Goldfinger Metallic paints, die cut and layered for a 3d effect. The sentiment is from the Floral Fantasy stamp set, stamped in black Archival, cut out and edged in Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

Craft Stampers Take It Make It Challenge April 2016 - Spring Flowers

Spring is in the air over at the Craft Stamper Blog where we would like you to use Spring Flowers on your projects.

I stamped out IndigoBlu's Colour Me Anemone in Crushed Olive Distress Ink six times onto white tissue paper, die cut them with TH Tattered Florals and then layered them up. After a scrunching they look very flower like :)

The background is made from After Morris paper, which had been distressed around the edge, and covered with a coat of diluted white GeeSsoGood, then using one of the Tiny Background stamps and Crushed Olive Distress ink more colour was added over the top. The Marianne Craftable dies makes a fabulous circle to frame the sentiment taken from the Floral Fantasy stamp set. Then to finish off the Butterflies from the same set were stamped in black Archival, cut out and brushed over with a little Crushed Olive to bring the colours together.

Then after adding the flowers, butterflies, sequins and pearls, a little splattering of diluted Black GeeSsoGood was added to loose a little of the clean feel.  You will find heaps more inspiration from the rest of fabulous DT over a the blog.

Amazing for IndigoBlu

I love the Lost Family Collection from Indigoblu the images are fabulous and perfect for mixed media projects. I die cut this very dapper Policeman to follow the curves in the design of the After Morris Collection paper, and added lots of layers of texture. And did I mention we are having a little blog hop over at The IndigoBlu Blog with a fab prize of a full set of the Colour Me Flower stamps up for grabs.

Here's how my project started.

With this gorgeous sheet of patterned paper, well when I say paper, it's coated so you get a fabulous resist when you apply watered down GeeSsoGood.
Which means you can add lots of layers of products, without the paper going soggy!

These two sheets have been sat on my desk for months. They were left over from another project and have been stamped in FlitterGlu using the gorgeous Vintage Flourish stamp and covered in yummy Chocolate Box MegaFlakes
I distressed the edges and layered them onto my base sheet.

 Then I added a piece of scrap paper and crumped and distress one of the 6" square Cartography papers, that had a light coating of GeeSoGood over it.

  After adhering all of the paper layers, I added a strip of hessian, some die cut cogs, a clock and a wooden wood along with the image of the Policeman.

Using a scrap of card to cover over the main image I flicked watered down White GeeSsoGood Black GeeSsoGood and a little watered down Goldfinger Metallic Paint for a little sheen.

So there he is in all his glory a very proud looking Policeman.

Craft Stamper Magazines Take It Make It Challenge March 2016 - Take a Stamp

Just a little reminder that our current challenge over at the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog is to "Take a Stamp" and we have a great prize of 20euros from our fabulous sponsor.

I started with an A5 canvas board and added a dictionary page using Slap It On,  once it was dry I gave it a coat of watered down white GeeSsoGood.
I added some colour using Caran d'Ache pastels in a random pattern, then water brushed over the top to blend them together.
Once they were dry I added some of the Tiny Background stamps using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Then I added the doily, butterfly and sentiments stamps from the Fantasy Floral set of stamps by IndigoBlu, using Versamark and heat embossed with Wow's Super Fine Ebony powder.

I added some paint drips with the yummy watered down Lime Marmalade Cottage Garden paint, and some markings with the end of a pencil in white GeeSsoGood.

An idea inspired by the fabulous Wendy Vecchi.

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge - March 2016 - Take A Stamp

It's time to start the March challenge over at The Craft Stamper Blog where we would like you to use stamping on your project.

 I've used a section from the new Kibble Kits background stamp from IndigoBlu, which has been spritzed with a mixture of paints, and added to a background created from the Tasty Textures stamped out in Distress Ink, love those stamps!
