Dragons Dream Challenge #142

Over at Dragons Dream TIO this time Gabrielle has chosen the theme of "White, Metal and Transport". I started with a layer of paste through a Crafters Workshop stencil and then painted over it with Guacamole Fresco paint, then added some Snowflake to tame the colour down, along with Pearl Moon gilding wax (along with my mica powders am now addicted to this stuff). The car and sentiment are by Tim Holtz and the dies I've used are Spellbinders and Marianne. Hope you find time to come on over and visit the Dragons Dream blog, just click the link on my sidebar, and don't forget to use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Sunday Stampers Challenge #259 Some Like It Hot

Not at the beach today though it's raining cats and dogs here in North Wales, so it's definitely a play day!!
Hels wanted to see some nice thick embossing going on this week over at the Sunday Stampers Challenge, and as I'd been playing about with one of Caroline's Seahorses, Mica Powders and Frantage, I thought it would be rude not to enter lol.
The doorhanger was painted in Mermaid (very apt) Fresco paint. The with an Imagination Crafts dotty stencil I sponged Versark ink through and used Shabby Blue opaque Frantage powder over that dots.
I spritzed the Seahorse with a mixture of Mica powders, and then added Shabby Blue Frantage along the backedge for texture, it's such a gorgeous colour in real life!

I then went around all the edges with Creative Expressions gilding wax in a mix of Patina, Pearl Moon and Golden Light, they are very addictive, thanks Trace lol. Finally I added the sentiment with Kaisercraft Grunge Font alphabet stamps, another new toy from Port Sunlight. Elizabeth x

MDF heart covered with Martha Stewart punched out butterflies, I'm tring to re-stock with different things for Fridays market, and these are so simple to make and quite quick.

Dragons Dream TIO Challenge #141 Yellow, Lightbulbs and Wire

Here we are again with a new challenge over at the Dragons Dream TIO blog. This time we would love to see "Yellow, Lightbulbs and Wire" on your tag along with at least one real stamp. This theme was chosen by the very talented Monique.

I started off with a piece of Kraftcard and painted it with Mustard Seed Distress Crackle paint. I then added a mix of Creative Expressions gilding waxes around the edge to tone down the very bright yellow.
All the stamps I used are by Hampton Art and were bought last weekend at Port Sunlight at the Festival. It was great to catch up with so many Friends and get to see so many beautiful samples up close in the flesh, so to speak, even though I was feeling lousy, it cheered me up no end, well apart from the one miserable old git, but we won't go there! Nearly forgot the lightbulbs are the old rusty ones from my Christmas Icicles, and as they have wires sticking out of them already, I thought they would be perfect.
Pop over to the challenge blog via the link on my sidebar and check out what my fab team mates have created, they really are an amazing bunch!

More Corsages!

Thought I'd share something a little different for a change. I've had quite a productive morning due to not being able to sleep and managed to complete four new corsages for the Country Market on friday. The lilac one matches a hand felted scarf that I made some time ago.
The teal one matches a felted bag, although it looks alot darker on here.
The pink matches my own scarf ups, know where that ones going then lol. And lastly the full set all together.

Dragons Dream TIO #140 Brown, Vellum and Hands

This time over at Dragons Dream TIO Silvia has chosen the theme of "Brown, Vellum and Hands" for our challenge.
I do hope I'm forgiven as I've used the hands of the clock, not physical hands lol, it's one of the new Marianne dies and can be used in two different sizes which is great. The base tag is My Minds Eye Kraftcard which inks like a dream, gorgeous stuff, then a layer of torn vellum which is hiding, a little swirly stamping and a vellum flower to finish off with.
Hop over to the challenge blog via the link on my sidebar to join in, just please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag.
I'm looking forward to the craft show in Manchester this weekend, just looking of course, saving myself for Port Sunlight the week after lol.
