Craft Stamper Magazine Challenge October 2018
It's the first Friday of the month and time for our new challenge over at the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog where we would love you to share your projects that include stamping with us. I love working with Eileen Hull's wrapped Journal, they are such good fun to decorate. The die does all the hard work of cutting and scoring the material for you, all you have to do is decide which fabric you want to cut out, that's the beauty of a steel rule die and of course Eileen's fabulous designs.
So, how do you fancy getting your hands on this fabulous die? It so happens that this month we have one up for grabs as a prize.
So hop over to the Craft Stamper Magazine Blog and check out the entry instructions, and get stamping! After all, you have to be in it to win it!

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge - October 2016 - Take a Theme Autumn/Fall Inspiration
A little inspiration to get you in the mood to join in our TIMI challenge over at the Craft Stamper Magazine blog where we would love you to share your Autumn/Fall stamped projects with us.
I've used the fabulous Leaf Blueprints stamp designed for Sizzix by Tim Holtz. It's stamped and layered onto a Disress Ink background, that has been splashed with water. Extra colour was added using Prismacolour pencils, and I added some extra lines and measurements to create a border around the edge of the card to co-ordinate.
So get stamping, follow the instructions of how to join in and you could be in with a chance of winning a fabulous prize from That's Crafty
Or even a chance to be featured in the magazine itself, how cool would that be!
Happy Stamping

Craft Stampers Take It Make It Challenge November - Christmas Images with Non-Christmas Stamps
Our November Challenge at The Craft Stamper Magazine is to create a Christmas image from a non-Christmas stamp.
I've used the wings from Tim Holtz Regal Flourish set, stamped, cut in half and re-built as a Christmas tree.
I Christened my new favourite stamp by Birgit Koopsen for the background, and added a stamped out Bingo card with the number 25 on it.
Then finished off with some lights on my tree, it wouldn't be Christmas without them!!
We have the Artistic Outpost sponsoring us this month, with a fabulous bunting set of stamps up for grabs for our winner, who along with their fab prize will see their artwork in print in the magazine, and have a Guest Designer slot. Please leave us a direct link back to your project, and don't forget to include stamping!
Off to play with my new goodies after spending yesterday at the NEC.

Craft Stamper Magazine's Take It Make It Challenge for August - Favourite Technique of the Year !
Which out of all the techniques in the magazine has been your favourite so far? Hard to choose I know, but one that stood out for me was Helen Chiltern's "Into The Fold" from the March issue, a technique using your embossing folders as stamps!! How simple, but it opens up a whole new set of stamps, and if there are no letters or numbers on there, you can use both sides of the folder for this technique, doubling up the possibilities.
So I started off with the Cuttlebug cogs folder inked up with Shabby Shutters and Tumbled Glass, placed the card over the top and pressed it down to pick up the image, I then re-inked the folder with Mowed lawn and Salty Ocean, two slightly darker shades, and staggered the image to create a shaded effect with the cogs. The last folder I used on the top is Hessian form Crafters Companion inked up in Salty Ocean.
Helen stamped and cut out her images to go over the top, but I decided to stamp straight on to my background with a selection of Tim Holtz stamps using Archival Ink.
So check out your back copies of the Craft Stamper Magazine from this year so far and get stamping!! There's a fabulous prize up for grabs and the winner will have their work published in the magazine, how cool is that!! Please remember to link your projects directly to the blog and of course use some real stamping on there.
I am thrilled to be staying on the Craft Stamper DT for another six month term from September, and looking forward to working alongside my amazing team mates, and seeing all your fantastic artwork.

Dragons Dream TIO #149 Music, Tissue/Tissue Tape and Blue
This time over at the Dragons Dream Challenge Blog Gabrielle has chosen the theme of "Music, Tissue Tape/Tissue and Blue".
I love the Vintage Shabby paper pad from TH the colours are just gorgeous and amongst the patterns is one with musical notes on, just perfect!
I crumpled up white tissue paper and stuck it down on to the tag with a generous coating of Fresco Metallic Glaze, the sheen is beautiful in the flesh. Then added a mixture of dies all cut from the same paper pad and edged with Faded Jeans Distress ink. The butterfly stamp is by Crafty Individuals and also has music in the background, so a double whammy!
Hope to see you dreaming along with us this week and thank you for your lovely comments, they mean so much.

Dragons Dream Challenge #142
Over at Dragons Dream TIO this time Gabrielle has chosen the theme of "White, Metal and Transport". I started with a layer of paste through a Crafters Workshop stencil and then painted over it with Guacamole Fresco paint, then added some Snowflake to tame the colour down, along with Pearl Moon gilding wax (along with my mica powders am now addicted to this stuff). The car and sentiment are by Tim Holtz and the dies I've used are Spellbinders and Marianne. Hope you find time to come on over and visit the Dragons Dream blog, just click the link on my sidebar, and don't forget to use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Dragons Dream TIO #137 Green, Die Cuts and Cogs
Here we are again for another challenge at the Dragons Dream TIO. This time Tracey has chosen the theme of Green, Die Cuts and Cogs for us.
The background of my tag is made up of several different green distress inks and I now have matching hands lol. I stencilled over the top with pine needles through my most used template, this one lives on the desk!
The cogs have all been cut in Kanban cardstock using a spellbinders die, and then inked with black soot. I was feeling pretty pleased with myself this week as I've done my cogs in another colour than the usual brown, then I realised I hadn't used a stamp, whoops!!! So hence the TH clock face came to the rescue along with my scribbled wording with a Sharpie pen.
The challenge this time will be running over three weeks as I will be away at Denman College stuffing my face with cake, I mean studying hard to finish my course lol, but they do make us eat cake quite a lot!!!
Please pop over and join in the challenge, you will find a link on my sidebar, just remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag and keep your inky fingers crossed for me ;)

Dragons Dream TIO #128 Self Propelled Flowers
This time over at Dragons Dream Gabrielle has chosen the theme of "Self Propelled Flowers" She would like to see Butterflies, Flowers and movement of some kind on your tags.
I used a sheet of cotton paper to blend different colours of mica on to, then let it dry au natural. My favourite flowers were then stamped, cut out and shaped, they hold well on this paper. I cut the TH cage out is silver and decided to have my little butterflies in the same colour, to blend in with the lilac and pale green flowers. My tag is inked up using a mixture of Milled Lavender, Bundled Sage and of course Black Soot Distress Inks. All put together with a little helping of the yummy tissue tape from Indigoblu. I hope you pop over and join in out challenge this time, I know so many of you are busy at this time of year, but we love to see your tags!! Don't forget to use the ingredients along with at least one real stamp on you tag. Off now to finish the little felted book that's peeping out from under my tag. Elizabeth xxx

Dragons Dream TIO #123 Art for Art's Sake
Our Head Dragon Frankie has set the theme of "Art for Art's Sake" this time over at Dragons Dream TIO. Where she would like your tags to have a handmade background, an interesting character and a quirky twist.
I made my background using Radiant Rains with blobbed Distress Stain over the top. The umberella man is heat embossed with Moon Glow powder, so he too shimmers to match the background. The card Candy was sat on my desk and made me think of Smarties lol. So there's my twist, it's raining Smarties - I wish!!
Hop on over via the link on my sidebar and check out what my very talented team mates have created, and join in the the challenge. Please don't forget to use at least one real stamp on your tag. Elizabeth x

TIO #122 A Murder of Crows
This time over at Dragons Dream TIO Lyn has chosen the theme of "A Murder of Crows" with a blue moon and a chill wind.
My background was created with oil pastels, heated and blended together to create a stormy sky, sadly the silver doesn't show up very well when scanned and my camera is in hiding! The birds and sentiment stamps are Sir Tim's and the moon is from Clarity, all stamped out using stayz on ink. Hope you pop over to check out what my very clever team mates have created, just click on the logo on my sidebar and come and join in. Just remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag, and enjoy!!! Elizabeth xxx

TIO #109 The Time Traveller's Wife
I'm here better late than never, sorry Frankie. That will teach me to check that my camera battery is charged!!! Anyway here's my DT piece for DragonsDream TIO this week. Helen has chosen the book "The Time Traveller's Wife", another one I've not read, and me a book worm lol. Have been playing with mica powders, spritzing and stamping over them (another little addiction of mine, still could have worse ones lol). My tag started with this sentiment out of a HOTP ephemera book, I love butterflies and they are a sybol of new begginings, something we all need from time to time. The butterfly stamps are by Artemio and the clock face by Sir Tim. Hope you join in the challenge, just remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag.By the way the challenge is running on a fortnightly basis whilst everyone is so busy, so it gives you extra time to join in. TIO #79 All the write postage!!!!!
This week it's Zoe's turn to start the dream "All the write postage" at DragonsDream TIO Challenge. I've inked up my background in a mixture of distress inks including, bundled sage, brushed corduroy, dried marigold, wild honey and black soot. All of the stamps I've used this week are from different sets by Tim Holtz. Couldn't resist adding the pen nibs, although they will be taken off and popped back in their box. They are from a collection that belonged to my Grandpa, he learned to write with them and so did I!! Check out the DragonsDream link on my sidebar and come on over to join the challenge!

TIO #77 Colouring my World!!
This week it's Helen's turn to start the ball rolling over at the Dragons Dream TIO, with the theme being the Colour my World. Helen has chosen the colour purple, with the choice of one accent colour, and as always at least one real stamp!!
I started off by inking my tag up with milled lavender, dusty concord and black soot around the edges. Then I used the black soot again to stamp out the TH sentiment, and also the Chapel Road Dragonflies. I then added some highlights with a white chalk pencil to the wings, then also a touch of glitter for some sparkle!! The tag was then finished off by adding black ribbon, and a flourish cut out on cricut. There is a direct link to the Tio Challenge by clicking on the DragonsDream logo on the sidebar, so please pop along and join in the dream! Elizabeth x

Play Date Cafe Challenge 72
Have been having a play with one of my new templates from Crafters Workshop. The background was created by brayering a mixture of tuscan satin, pink lace and blue brocade silkies from Imagination Crafts. I chose two of the four birdcages from the template, and then used a versamark inkpad through it. I then embossed it with silver bells wow powder, and added some blue gems. The flourishes in the corner's are Tim Holtz and embossed in the same powder. I love the way that the three colours of the silkies have merged to create a rainbow. Hope you can see the sparkle, Elizabeth x

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 141 Shabby Chic
Love is one thing not in the air at Chez Robinson this morning, especially for the bloke who stole Hubby's motorbike at 5am!!!
Over at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog this week we have gone Shabby Chic, which I must confess is one of my favourite styles of crafting. The background papers are from Cosmo Cricket, and already have a distress look to them, I just added a little bit more by running the edge of the paper through my scissors, and inking around with black soot. The flowery border was made with the reverse side of the plain paper, and fake stitches were added using a HOTP stamp (slight cheat but hey). All of the other stamps used are Sir Tim's and stamped out using black soot. If you look closely you will see that I've over stamped the flowers stamp in versamark, and embossed with Sheena's neutral ultra shimmer powder, it gives a gorgeous sparkle and also adds texture at the same time. I used a Nellie Snellon die to cut out the frame for the focal point and added bows to finish the card off. Hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and it's a fab prize Steph has sponsored us with. Elizabeth

TIO 67 Time to Tag!
These are some of the stamps that my furry little friend bought me for Christmas, he always knows what I like clever lad! Another Saturday night and Oscar not only looks cute but smells gorgeous after his welcome to the New Year bath LOL. Can't believe how old he is, yet he looks (and is acting just like a puppy today) after his haircut.
So here's my offering from the pampered craft room!!!
I've been playing with brushed corduroy, vintage photo, tea dye, antique linen and black soot distress inks. With Sir Tim's Visual Artistry clear stamps, and a little help from Sheena's pearl gold sparkle WOW powder. I love this sentiment, I just think it's so true.... Hope you like Elizabeth

TIO #66 Zentangle
Here's my offering for Frankie's TIO Challenge this week, Zentangle!! I've used two stamp's on this tag, the Unicorn from Lavinia, and the diamonds from Tim Holtz. They are both stamped out in Memento Tuxedo black ink. The rest of the doodling's are drawn free hand with a black fine line pen. I've added a splash of colour with a couple of promarker pens, although I was tempted to leave it black and white for a change. Happy Crafting Elizabeth xxx
