This month with Eileen Hull Designs we are returning to unfinished projects or UFO's as we sometimes call them. Now I hold my hands up and confess that I do have ahem...... several of these and as I've confessed in the past this is the year that I'm trying my best to use them up.
So this is a Pocket Notebook cut out from Matboard that has been sat next to my Sizzix Dies for ages (ok along with a couple more). It's the perfect size for a smaller project and using up bits and pieces.
I covered the outside in a leftover paper from Katie Pertiet's Hidden Creek Collection. Then I went though my box of Eileens stamps. I pulled out two of my favourite sets Snail Mail Inspiration and Buttons, Cards & more. I used a mixture of stamps on the outer cover of the Pocketbook using Black Versafine and Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
On the inner cover I stencelled Peeled Paint Distress ink though one of the Patterned Plate stencils, and blended ink around the edges. I also blended a little of the ink around the uoter cover too.
Next I grabbed scraps of paper from the Hidden Creek pack and also some left over pieces of Kraft Card. These were perfect for stamping out a few Library Cards and also Tickets. A little fussy cutting and these were embellishments ready to be added to the concertina journal pages I'd made from a 12" x 5" strip of patterned paper again from the Hidden Creek collection. This was adhered to the back page with a strip of cotton ribbon behind it to act as a fastener.
I added a few of the Laser Cut embellishments that co-ordinate with the papers and voila........at long lasst I have a completed project.

All through the month of February we have had an "Anything Goes"over at Eileen Hull Designs. I decided that I would use a Notebook that I'd already die cut and decorated using the Gel Press Plate with an assortment of colours. So inspired by Katie Perteit's new (and first) collection with Arden Creative Studio I finially completed the Notebook.
I decorated the front cover with a card cut from the papers and added some of the co-ordinating Laser Cuts and a few extra splashes of white Gesso to tie everything together. On the spine I stamped the word "Inspiration" from Eileen's Fan Favourite Stamp set, one of my most used sets at the moment.
The inside text block was created from an old book that I'd previously used the cover in a project, and have been using the pages in various journals. If you carefully trim down the spine and cut the block to the size you require it's a ready made insert. This was glued into the Notebook and the pages are now ready to decorate with stamps, die cuts or ephemera. I made a start with some cards cut from the paper pack, they are absolutely gorgeous and have beautiful sentiments on them.
