This week over at Rainbow Ladies challenge blog we are being sponsored by Joanna Sheene. We would love you to share your "Memories" projects with us.
Along with ink and mica another love of mine are textiles and their composition. I am an addict to felting and have been attending workshops as often as I can fit them in lol. This little book cover began life as a bag of cream marino wool top, along with a few other different colours to create the picture. When I started to embroider the leaves and stems, of the flowers, all the memories of learning to sew with both my Mum and Nana, came flooding back. Sitting on the rug at Nana's, sorting out all the various coloured silks, ready for learning to sew flowers of every kind!
Very happy memories for me indeed for me. The book cover still has a lot of work to be done, plenty more stitches to add, along with some gorgeous little beads. I will put an updated piccie on here once it's finished. Pop over via the logo on my sidebar to join us in this weeks challenge. Elizabeth xxx
