Dragons Dream TIO # The letter "U" and a Quotation

Over at the Dragons Dream TIO Gabrielle has chosen the theme. She would like to see the letter "U" and a quotation on your tags.
I chose this Crafty Individuals stamp of London as it had the Union Jack flag on it, and at this time of year it seemed appropriate along with a Poppy.
My quotation is one of gratitude, something we all have for the brave that gave their lives so we could live.

Crafty Individuals October Challenge

A very quick last minute dash to enter the Crafty Individuals October Challenge with one of my favourite stamps, Jingle Bells.
I made my super shiny background by spritzing metallic paints onto card, letting it dry naturally so the mica shines more, then using a paper distresser around the edges. I stamped out the Jingle Bells in Archival ink, then stamped and added the words with a white background so they were a little clearer to read. Finally I couldn't resist adding some tiny gems for more stars in the night sky.

I layered the stamped card onto some more spritzed card, added a couple of scrap bits at the side, then finished off with some twine a some real jingle bells.

Dragons Dream TIO #176 The Letter "W" and Lace

This time around at the Dragons Dream TIO Helen has chosen the theme of the letter "W" and Lace.
I love Crafty Individuals stamps and have been lucky to have made their top five on a few occasions, and these two stamps are both winnings!
I wanted a quite neutral background to contrast with the gorgeous butterfly stamp. My original piece of black lace went awol whilst finishing off the tag, so I had to colour a white piece, and didn't make a good job of it :( all best plans and that!
The Design Team and our fabulous Guest Designer Deborah, have made some fantastic tags to inspire you, just follow the recipe and don't forget to use at least one real stamp.

Natures Beauty at Crafty Individuals

This time over at Crafty Individuals the theme is "Natures Beauty". Our house backs on to the woods here in Colwyn Bay, and we have many different types of birds that visit our garden.  I love to sit at the kitchen table with a mug of tea and watch them feed on the rockery. That's why I chose this stamp, as it covered all bases for me. The papers are from the spring paper pad and the image has been painted using pearly paints, and of course as I'm in flower mode, there had to be some!

Dragons Dream TIO #160 The Letter "G" and Birds

Over at the Dragons Dream TIO blog this time the uber talented Gabrielle has chosen the theme of the letter "G" and Birds.
My inspiration came from this Crafty Individuals picture of a "Gent" which co ordinated perfectly with a piece of Glenda Waterworths paper that I've had for years!
I used Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium through a Crafters workshop stencil for the bird element, then added a few leaf die shapes to finish it off, along with the stamped word "Gent".
We would love you to join in with our challenge, just click on the link on my sidebar and please don't forget to use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Dragons Dream TIO #149 Music, Tissue/Tissue Tape and Blue

This time over at the Dragons Dream Challenge Blog Gabrielle has chosen the theme of "Music, Tissue Tape/Tissue and Blue".
I love the Vintage Shabby paper pad from TH the colours are just gorgeous and amongst the patterns is one with musical notes on, just perfect!
I crumpled up white tissue paper and stuck it down on to the tag with a generous coating of Fresco Metallic Glaze, the sheen is beautiful in the flesh. Then added a mixture of dies all cut from the same paper pad and edged with Faded Jeans Distress ink. The butterfly stamp is by Crafty Individuals and also has music in the background, so a double whammy!
Hope to see you dreaming along with us this week and thank you for your lovely comments, they mean so much.

Passion for ProMarkers Challenge #214 Pink Pearls

I though I'd make the effort this week and try to join in some different challenges, and as I love my ProMarkers and my Mum as a Printer and so have grown up with Letraset products this is a perfect one  for me.
The stamped image is one of Crafty Individual and coloured with ProMarkers. The tag and dies are all made a sheet of TH Vintage Shabby paper, which have been inked with a mix of Victorian Velvet and of course Black Soot. The flowers were ready made from my stash and the final layer was a dabble of gorgeous Gilding Wax from Creative Expressions, which I am slightly addicted to!
Sorry the photo looks so blue, it's not got light properly here all day.

Dragons Dream TIO #144 Coastal, Mica and a Flourish/Crafty Individuals June Challenge

It's my turn over at Dragons Dream TIO to choose the theme, so how could I resist (this being the middle of Summer and all, and me living at the seaside),  having a coastal theme.
I've used a  chipboard  tag this time as I wanted a good solid base to work on.  The background was crated with a mixture of distress stains, mica powders and gilding wax. The sentiment is from Crafty Individuals and the flourishes are from HOTP.
You might have noticed I love Seahorses and they make an appearance whenever possible. This is one of Caroline's and has been painted up with Imagination Crafts mica powders, which are gorgeous in the flesh sadly photo's don't do them justice, finished off with Creative Expressions gilding wax and, erm, a snowflake!!!! Yep you read that correctly lol, the fin was made from an Alterations snowflake die using a couple of layers of tissue paper, see a snowflake is not just for Christmas lol.
Hope you pop along and join in our challenge this time, just please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag. You will find a link to the challenge blog on my sidebar.
I'm also going to see if I can enter this in to Crafty Individuals June challenge as well.

Spring in to Fashion at Crafty Individuals

In real life this is pale pink and white, sadly on film it looks very white. This is one of my favourite Crafty Individual stamps and is used on a regular basis!
I've used a mixture of distress inks and promarkers, along with crealies and cheery lyn dies. Hope I'm not too late to enter. Elizabeth x

Dragons Dream TIO #136 Purple, Orange and Butterflies

This time over at Dragons Dream TIO it's May's turn to start us off with a new recipe. Orange, Purple and Butterflies are the ingredients and of course one real stamp must be used!
It's been great to get back in my workroom again and get messy, I've missed that while I've been working downstairs in my nice clean kitchen lol.
I had a lovely "splattering" session with some Moonglow Starbursts, I love the names they have, Tiger Lily Red Orange and French Lilac Violet and they have such a beautiful sheen with the mica, it's just a shame it doesn't show up well on camera.
The Crafty Individuals butterflies were stamped out in Archival ink and I added a touch of black soot around the edges of the tag to loose some of the whiteness of the card.
I hope you enjoy our challenge this time around and pop over to join in, just click on the link on my sidebar to take you there.

Dragons Dream TIO #130 Magical Mystery

This time over at Dragons Dream Monique has inspired us to dream magical, mysterious dreams with a sprinkling of Fairy Dust!
I masked off the moon and used three different shades of blue distress ink along with black soot to create my base tag. The snowflakes and the sentiment, perfect for this one hey, are from an old set from HOTP. The houses are from Crafty Individuals and my Fairies (complete with the required Fairy Dust lol) are from Lavinia Stamps.
I've been adding these snowflakes on to everything at the moment, they are so pretty, this one had a little distress treatment though, to blend in.
Pop over to our challenge via the link on my sidebar and check out the great tags my team mates have come up with and join in our magical dreams, please don't forget to use at least one real stamp on your tags. Happy Dreaming Elizabeth x

Crafty Individuals November Challenge - Festive Sparkles

I've been having a play with my new spellbinders snowflake dies using a piece of greaseproof paper then the cardstock, and you know what, I love the greaseproof paper ones more than the card lol. I masked off a 4" square on my card, and creaded a frame, stamped out some snowflakes and Greetings. The added my Rudolf in the centre. He is stamped out in brushed corduroy,  inked around the edge, then the gorgeous spellbinders snowflakes were added along with some gems for sparkle. Thanks for popping by, Elizabeth xx

Rainbow Ladys Challenge #202 On the street where you live

This week over at Rainbow Ladys Challenge the theme is "on the street where you live". I am lucky enough to live at the seaside, in an art deco house that still has many of it's orginal features. We even have the orginal lightfittings. I think (lol) that this is a crafty individuals stamp, sorry if its not, that I've coloured using Lyra Polycolour pencils. Haven't played with those for a while. The BP is a piece of K&Co from a huge stash many years ago. Hope you pop over to join in this weeks challenge and check out who our fab sponsor is this week! Rainbow Lady's Challenge 197 House and Home

This week over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge we would love to see you projects relating to "House and Home". The little bird houses are the first thing you see when you walk through my front door, and I love them! The houses and the chipboard birds were from Crafty Individuals, painted with Eco Paint and then the birds were stamped over with dictionary meanings from Stamp Camp, all with crafty meanings. The whole thing is balanced using twigs from the Ash tree at the top of my garden. I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and pop over to join us using the logo on my sidebar to take you there. DragonsDream #108 The Beach

Welcome back to the DragonsDream Challenge where we have had a short rest to re-charge the creative batteries. This week it's my turn to start the dream, where else, but "The Beach". Besides being the book I'm reading at the moment, I so need a holiday!!! I inked up my tag in a mixture of distress ink, adding sunshine and sea using a scrap piece of paper as a guide. The palm tree is an old Rubber Stampede stamp which was made to go on their rocking handle, remember those? The seagull is from Clarity and the seashells are from Crafty Individuals. We hope you join in with this weeks dream, just click on the link on my sidebar to take you there, and please remember to include at least one stamped image on your tag!!! Elizabeth xxx

TIO #85 Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

Having a small war with blogger again this morning grrrr..... It posted my tag when I didn't want it to, then didn't post when it was scheduled for! Rant over.
This week we are dreaming about the seaside over at DragonsDream TIO Challenge. I can't tell you how hard it was for me not to do seahorses lol. I created my background with pastels for a change. I love these metallic ones, they have a fab shine to them in real life. The stamps I've used are a mix of Crafty Individuals and Rubbadubberdoo, stamped out with stazon. It's a shame our little pier doen't look like this one, lets hope the regeneration scheme includes it in their plans!! Elizabeth x

TIO #83 Numbers Game!

This week over at the TIO Challenge Helen has asked us to dream in numbers. I decided this would be a good excuse to play with some new stamps from Crafty Individuals, it's a great stamp plate with a tall ship and navigational tables/charts, so perfect for this challenge as it's crammed full of numbers!!!
My base tag is inked with a mixture of bundled sage, pine needles and crushed olive distress inks. I then used the black soot ink pad to stamp the charts out, and added highlights with a white chalk pencil. The charms and the brass corner have been on my desk for ages, so can't remember where they were from (senior moment). And the ribbon is a piece of wired twin with small bows running along it, using it on everything at the moment LOL. Hope you pop over and join us in this weeks challenge, it was great to see so many of your fab entries last week. Just click on the logo on my sidebar for a direct link. Love Elizabeth x
