Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team - Flowers

All through out the month of May the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team have been creating with flowers. So today it's my turn to share a project. I've used the flowers from the Bookmark, Tag and Pocket Die, along with the tiny flower, leaf arch and a word from the Floral Arch and Words Die. And I have to say a huge thank you to my Crafting Buddy Jenny Marples for die cutting a couple of the Embroidery Hoops for me, I really need to get that die!

I cut the flowers out in a mix of three colours which I thought went well together, and decided on the word Moments, and cut that out using black card so it would stand out more.

I painted the chipboard hoop with Pink Blossom Starlights Paint from Imagination Crafts. It only needed one coat, as the paint gives a really good coverage, even on chipboard. Love the delicate sheen this gives.

Next I cut into the flowers on every second petal so I could get some extra shape to them.

Then it was time for a cuppa and work through my little production line of flowers, snipping, shaping and lining them up ready for the next step.

The tiny flower from the Floral Arch set, I popped onto a foam mat and shaped using a Ball Tool, to creat a tiny cup shape.

Once the Hoop was dry, I started to build up my design, first the gorgeous leafy arch.

The the flowers.

I added a paper Doily to the reverse of the Hoop, and carefully trimmed it off when it was dry. I added the word to the centre of the Doily, I love how it stands out against the white background.

To finish off I added pearls to the flower centres, and mounted it onto a 7" square card, covered with a ditsy print paper.

I love the size of these flowers, as they are perfect for using on smaller projects.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the Inspiration Teams amazing projects over on Eileens Home Page or on the Facebook Fan Club Page, the links are all below.

Happy Crafting.

What a lovely project using the embroidery hoop and all the colorful flowers you layered Elizabeth! Your delicate floral paper is the perfect backdrop for it - and I love the way you cut the doily for the center piece. Julia xx
