A Quick Christmas Gift Box with Eileen Hull's Stacking Drawers Die

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/09/a-quick-christmas-gift-box-with-eileen.html

Christmas is quickly approaching and it's time to start making gift boxes ahead of time. Eileen's Stacking Drawer Die is a perfect size to hold a small gift.

Cut out from Sizzix Matboard it makes a sturdy little box to keep any gift safe and sound.

I painted the inside of mine black and chose some fabulous Christmas paper from Anna Griffin that's been in my stash for years. I found a couple of embellishments in there too, which makes this an even quicker make!

I used the die to cut the front of the drawer from the patterned paper, this makes it super easy to get everything lined up where it should be. then I carefully cut out a piece of paper for the back of the drawer, and a long strip to cover the outside of the drawer case completely. I used double side tape to adhere the paper to the matboard. Again this makes it super easy especially when batch making.

Now all I had to do was to add those pre-made embellishments and it's one gift box completely finished.

All ready for something special to be popped in.

Tags and Pockets - with Eileen Hull

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2023/03/tags-and-pockets-with-eileen-hull.html
Some days it's just great to sit and create smaller items ready for adding into journals. Today was definately one of those days. It was cold and snowy outside, and warm and toasty indoors so a crafty day it was.

I grabbed three 12"x12" sheets of coordinating papers from my stash. I'm not sure where they were from as all the lables are long gone, but they are gorgeous colours. I cut out a selection of Journaling Cards, Library Pockets, ATC Cards and tabs.

I inked around all of the edges with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and built six pockets of gorgeousness ready to be added into my next journal. I love batch making things and having a ready made stash to go is a great idea and takes no time at all.

They were finished off with a few words from Eileen's Making Plans stamp set that was released through Maker Forte. Love that set it's a journal makers dream.

So here's a closer look at the six pockets I created.

Gift Card Folder and Label #2 for Eileen Hull Designs

I absolutely love the new Gift Card and Folder #2 Die, and can see so many uses for it, and it's fabulous for anyone who loves making Junk Journals.

I've used these beautiful papers from Mintay by Karola. The design is called dear diary and has lots of elements to snip out and use on your projects.

I've inked around the edges with Flagstone from Eileen's range of Color Box Blends just to add a little shabby to the project, and finished off with the word Love from the Journaling Words Die set.

Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team - Flowers

All through out the month of May the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team have been creating with flowers. So today it's my turn to share a project. I've used the flowers from the Bookmark, Tag and Pocket Die, along with the tiny flower, leaf arch and a word from the Floral Arch and Words Die. And I have to say a huge thank you to my Crafting Buddy Jenny Marples for die cutting a couple of the Embroidery Hoops for me, I really need to get that die!

I cut the flowers out in a mix of three colours which I thought went well together, and decided on the word Moments, and cut that out using black card so it would stand out more.

I painted the chipboard hoop with Pink Blossom Starlights Paint from Imagination Crafts. It only needed one coat, as the paint gives a really good coverage, even on chipboard. Love the delicate sheen this gives.

Next I cut into the flowers on every second petal so I could get some extra shape to them.

Then it was time for a cuppa and work through my little production line of flowers, snipping, shaping and lining them up ready for the next step.

The tiny flower from the Floral Arch set, I popped onto a foam mat and shaped using a Ball Tool, to creat a tiny cup shape.

Once the Hoop was dry, I started to build up my design, first the gorgeous leafy arch.

The the flowers.

I added a paper Doily to the reverse of the Hoop, and carefully trimmed it off when it was dry. I added the word to the centre of the Doily, I love how it stands out against the white background.

To finish off I added pearls to the flower centres, and mounted it onto a 7" square card, covered with a ditsy print paper.

I love the size of these flowers, as they are perfect for using on smaller projects.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the Inspiration Teams amazing projects over on Eileens Home Page or on the Facebook Fan Club Page, the links are all below.

Happy Crafting.

Completely without intention, everything I've used on my tag this time is Sir Tims lol. From the ink to the embossing folder and stamps, simples!! Hope you pop over and join in with this times tag, just click on the logo on my sidebar to take you there, and check out what my fab team mates have created. Elizabeth x
