Eileen Hull Notebook Die and Colorbox Blends

I love to watercolour so when these new re-inkers arrived from Clearsnap for Eileen Hull's Colorbox Blends, I just had to give them a go.

I covered a Notebook die cut with a piece of canvas, and chose the colours I wanted to use.

The inks are super thick and opaque as you can tell from the image above, you can't see through to the black mat. When you dilute them they go so far, so you only need the smallest drop of ink.

I sketched out  a Seahorse (yes I know I'm predictable lol) and a pattern in the background. Then set about adding colour with the diluted inks. They blend beautifully, and considering I'm working on fabric, they are fantastic.

I layered the colours up until I was happy with the result. Then after leaving to dry naturally, I added markings over the top with a black Micron pen and also a white Gelly Roll pen for highlights.

I added a little journaling to the edge of the spine to complete the cover. Now onto the inside!

Hope you give this technique a try.
Happy Crafting.
