Happy Autumn everyone, the nights are drawing in and the heating is on. My Summer clothes are packed away and the shelves are stacked with warm and snuggly jumpers, scarves and gloves. Eileen has the most beautiful Autumnal/Halloween napkins in her Etsy store and I couldn't resist this cute little Hedgehog from my pack. He is decoupaged onto Eileen's Pocket Notebook which has been cut out from Matboard and covered with canvas before adding the Napkin. Why you ask.........well it gives a little added texture to the cover. I used a slightly different Napkin on the backcover and the insides are lined with autumnal green paper.
The edges of the cover have a light coating of both Rose Gold and Ivory Lustre Wax, this gives it a real frosty look.
The Mushrooms, Berries and a few rain spots were created using Sizzix Effectz Liquid Gloss.
Inside there are two handmade notebooks decorated with stickers from Paper House, they matched perfectly.
I created a tassel from verigated thread and added beads and a charm of a birdcage from my stash, finally adding it to the elastic on the spine of the journal.
Happy Crafting

The canvas base makes a huge impact - that is a texture is lovely! I can see me using that idea in the future. Thanks for the inspiration!
