BoBunny - Garden Journal Collection

I love my DT box from Jones Crafts, Nottingham this month, it was absolutely crammed with gorgeous products. Candy Box Crafts have brought out a new stand for Distress Inks that holds 60 of the pads. As with all of their products it was so simple to put together as all the pieces have letter's to match up, and then add a little glue it couldn't be simpler!

The new Garden Journal papers from BoBunny are just yummy, soft beautiful greys, creams, pinks and teal, all with a garden theme including birds, journal pages, eggs and plants.

I gave my stand a colour wash of watered down gesso and finally decided to use the beautiful grey feather paper to decorate the outside. Then to add a little more colour and to loose the very clean look, brushed over some evergreen bough distress ink, perfect, now I have a very pretty shabby chic ink pad stand.

Finally time to print out new colour labels from Sir Tim and get my rainbow of inks in their new home :)

Frosted Designs Challenge - Mothers

Time for our new Friday Challenge over at Frosted Designs and as it's so close to Mothers day over in the States, we are celebrating Mothers.

I love this photo of Mum and I taken on my Wedding Day, it's one of a few that we are both in together, usually one or the other was behind the camera. It would have been her birthday this week, so this page is in honor of that, and I have a block of white chocolate in the fridge to celebrate later!

All the papers I've used are a mixture from BoBunny, love the pale duckegg and lemon colours. The definition sticker is from heidi Swapp and the flowers are from Petaloo.

As always at Frosted Designs we have a fabulous prize up for grabs, so get creating and leave us a direct link back to your project so we can pay your blog a visit.

Happy Crafting, Elizabeth x

Drip, Drip, Drip April Showers........over at Frosted Designs

It was my turn to choose the theme over at Frosted Designs and as we are nearly into rainy April, I shall say no more!!!
I started off by gessoing a 12"x12" canvas, then adding layers of drips of paint, starting with the darkest colour first, and finishing off with pearl to tome down the dark colour, and also add some sheen.
After the last layer of paint had dried, I added some iridescent sequins for some shimmer, then spritzed over again with the pearl.

The BoBunny papers in the Enchanted kit are just stunning, and this beautiful birdbath with birds, was just perfect. I added a sentiment from Kaisercrafts Blue Bay stamps, and after distressing the edges, matting it off centre it onto another piece of paper from the same sheet, added it to the canvas.

Then it was a case of adding some of the gorgeous embellishments from the kit along with a few from my stash. Had to use a clock face as it fitted the sentiment so well.

So lets see drips on your projects, paint, mica, rain or even coffee, leave us a direct link to   your project, then we can pop over and have a closer look, and don't  forget as always we have a fabulous prize up for grabs!

Dragons Dream TIO #165 The Letter "B" and Flowers

The fabulous Gabrielle has chosen the theme at Dragons Dream  this time and would love to see the letter "B" and Flowers on your tag, along with at least one real stamp.
My "B" is butterfly, which was a leftover make from a Craft Stamper Magazine project last month, monoprinting, it was just too pretty to go in the bin, so it's been waiting for a new project to go on. The papers I've used were a free set of gorgeous Bobunny pages that were free in the Scrapbook magazine
They make great Mini Tattered Flowers, which you might see a few more of, slightly addicted to them now ;)
Hope you pop over and join in our challenge, just please remember to follow the recipe and use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Butterfly Challenge - Glamorous

I've been promising Mrs A right from when she started the Butterfly Challenge Blog that I would join in, have been on a mission this morning to make sure that I do!!

So using the gorgeous BoBunny papers that came free in the Scrapbook magazine, bought as my Craft Stamper team mate Tracy has some  fabulous projects in there, and a 7gypsies album from my stash, I have started my butterfly challenge journal.

I added Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium to the butterflies and some Treasure Gold around the edges, for a shabby chic look.

The Mini Tattered Florals were cut, loaded on to brads and spritzed with water, to get the crumpled look.
A piece of black raffia from my stash finishes off the album cover.
So no more excuses for me Mrs A, I have an on-going project.
