I decided to give my Art Journal a re-vamp, when I did the cover originally it was black with metallic blue and silver, and very dark.
So after a coat of GeeSoGood Gesso and adding lots of elements that were left over from a Finnabair workshop I did at IndigoBlu earlier this year, along with a few flowers and buttons from my stash. I decided this time around I wanted a pastel colours for my journal.
I used several layers of IndigoBlu's Cottage Garden paints in the gorgeous Grandma's Teacup and Townhouse Teal shades, diluted with water and spritzed onto the cover. Then after drying spritzed again with the gorgeous Snow White metallic paint, for a pearl sheen along the right hand side.
To finish off I applied a little Vodka Martini metallic paint using a dry brush to the edges of some of the embellishments, so when the light catches them they have a beautiful metallic lustre.
So there's my re-vamped cover and I promise to fill the rest of the pages and share them :)
Happy Crafting

Dragons Dream TIO - The colour purple and the letter "X"
Over at the Dragons Dream TIO Blog Julie Ann has chosen theme of purple and the letter "X" for our challenge.
I've made my tag from scraps of papers by My Minds Eye and an odd half doily, with a "hugs and kisses" sticker, and a stamped sentiment from Kaisercraft.
The white Prima flowers were spritzed with IndigoBlu metallic paints to change them into a gorgeous purple and pearls added to finished them off.
We would love to see your entries in our challenge, just follow the recipe and as always please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Merry Christmas!
I'm loving these new Christmas stamps from IndigoBlu, the font is just lovely and designed to work perfectly with the megaflakes, Chariot of Fire in this case.
The background card had been made from spritzing Ruby Slippers, Cinderella and Goldfinger metallic paints, then using a paper distresser around the edges.
Seem to be in a pink mood at the moment, not like me at all lol.

Crafty Individuals October Challenge
A very quick last minute dash to enter the Crafty Individuals October Challenge with one of my favourite stamps, Jingle Bells.
I made my super shiny background by spritzing metallic paints onto card, letting it dry naturally so the mica shines more, then using a paper distresser around the edges. I stamped out the Jingle Bells in Archival ink, then stamped and added the words with a white background so they were a little clearer to read. Finally I couldn't resist adding some tiny gems for more stars in the night sky.
I layered the stamped card onto some more spritzed card, added a couple of scrap bits at the side, then finished off with some twine a some real jingle bells.
