Dragons Dream TIO #176 The Letter "W" and Lace

This time around at the Dragons Dream TIO Helen has chosen the theme of the letter "W" and Lace.
I love Crafty Individuals stamps and have been lucky to have made their top five on a few occasions, and these two stamps are both winnings!
I wanted a quite neutral background to contrast with the gorgeous butterfly stamp. My original piece of black lace went awol whilst finishing off the tag, so I had to colour a white piece, and didn't make a good job of it :( all best plans and that!
The Design Team and our fabulous Guest Designer Deborah, have made some fantastic tags to inspire you, just follow the recipe and don't forget to use at least one real stamp.

Sunday Stampers Challenge - Music!

Hels theme this week over at The Sunday Stampers is  "play that funky music" so choices are backgrounds, stamps, songs etc.
My older Sister loved (still does) the Everly Brothers, so this made me think of "Whenever I want you all I have to do is Dream, dream, dream, dream.............) good job you can't hear me lol.
The background has been made from various Cottage Garden paints with a spritzing of Snow White metallic over the top, to give it some shimmer.
Sleeping George was stamped out in paint first then again carefully over the top with Archival.
The word "dream" and the splodge frame are both from Sarah's Choice.

Finally I added Megaflakes around the edge of the background and also the frame.
Yey two weeks running I've had chance to enter Hels fab challenge, it's been yonks since I've done that!

A quick reminder about the Take It Make It Challenge

Just a little reminder of our challenge over at Craft Stampers Blog where we are all stamping onto tissue this month.
I thought I'd try something a little different for me, and decided to go all pink and shabby lol.
The Snowflake Lace was stamped out in Brilliance ink onto tissue, then added to watercolour card, which had a coat of gesso on it, using Slap It On.
Then stippled some more ink around the edge of the card and stamped out the Noel Dinkie in the centre, adding a few gems for sparkle. The stitching aound the edge was hand done for a shabby look.
So plenty of time for you to get stamping on to tissue and enter the challenge. The winner will recieve this fab stash of Washi Tape along with two rings to store them on. Trish will not be donating her craft bag, it was for modeling purpose only lol.
Please remember to keep your project in a safe place as it will also been needed to appear in the magazine at a later date.

Dragons Dream TIO The Letter "J" and Die-Cuts

This time around at the Dragons Dream TIO it's my turn to choose the recipe, so with the letter "J" I would love to see some Die-Cuts and also at least one real stamp on your tags.
As some of you know I recently joining the fabulous team of demonstrators at IndigoBlu and this is the front cover of my Tag Book, used at Demo's to show various techniques. It has lot's of gorgeous Altered Egos, some paste and layers of the gorgeous new metallic paints, along with a couple of stamps from the Sarah's Choice stamp set and a fabulous Owl Embellishment.
I was going to say that I kept the back quiet simple, but I think this little fella is cute!

I'm also going to enter my tag book covers into Hel's Sunday Stampers Lavender's Green as it would be rude not too! x

IndigoBlu's September Challenge - Indian Summer

Over at the IndigoBlu Challenge Blog the September theme is "Indian Summer". This makes me think of warm evenings with beautiful coloured skies, and of course poppies.
My sunset is a blend of barn door, wild honey, mustard seed, picked raspberry and dusty concord distress inks.
I've then used stamps from Poppy Meadow, with the flowers stamped again on to red cardstock and layered up.
Hop over and join in this month's challenge and also check out what the DT, and the rest of the Demonstrator team have created to inspire you!

Craft Stamper Magazine's Take It Make It Challenge - Tissue Stamping

It's a new month and a new challenge over at the Craft Stamper Magazine's Blog and it's one of my favourite things to do, stamping onto tissue paper!
First I started by covering a canvas board with some ripped up dictionary pieces, then painted over the top with a couple of layers of white Gesso
Then using the "Big Butterfly" from IndigoBlu I stamped onto a mansize paper tissue with Brilliance Ink, gently tearing around the edges as close as I dared!
I added the Butterflies using Slap It On Matt and left it to dry before inking and stamping around the edges of the canvas.
To finish off I added the word "Fly" with Brilliance ink and a pencil line around the edges.
As always we have a fabulous prize up for grabs and the chosen winner will also have their artwork published in a forthcoming issue of The Craft Stamper Magazine, so keep those Take It Make It entries safe and please don't forget to leave a link straight back to your project, and use stamps!

IndigoBlu Christmas

Phew way too long since I posted on here, so over the next few days I hope to catch up with everyone and share what I've been up to.
Firstly I thought I share one of my sample cards made for IndigoBlu using one of the gorgeous new Christmas stamps, the Flourish stencil and my now second favourite Flakes Lancashire Rose. I'd tell you what my new favourite is called, but it doesn't have a name yet!
And yes those are the smallest flat backed gems on the planet, it was a challenge gluing them on lol!
