It's always a tough decision choosing just three of my favourite projects using Eileen Hulls dies. This year has again seen some fabulous new releases along with a few re-releases of some great classics.

I had to choose the Beautiful Moments mini journal as I love the shape of it, the Notebook using the lattice stencils and florals turned out better than I could have imagined and I love the colour. My final choice would have to be the Drawer as it makes the perfect sized gift box.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Eileen Hull/Sizzix June Release Party

Eileen's new releases for June are now available, here's what Eileen has to say about them........
Introducing my June Sizzix release! This collection combines three classic Eileen Hull Sizzix Scoreboards dies and two new designs- a four layer stencil and coordinating Thinlits that cuts a portion of the stencil! The three Scoreboards dies are the Treasure Box, Stacking Drawer and Notebook. The fun thing about this set is that they work together but also stand alone. The Treasure Box measures 3 1/4” x 5 1/4” x 4” and holds index cards, two stacks of ATC’s, a whole row of journaling cards and anything else you care to add. The Stacking Drawer fits a set of three drawers perfectly inside the Treasure Box to create a great storage solution for desk supplies, hair accessories, small collections, jewelry and much more. It also makes a great little gift box for something special! The Notebook is a favorite because of how quick and easy it is to create. One pass through the Big Shot and you have a book cover! It measures 5” x 3 1/2” x 3/4”. Cover with paper, fabric, metal or cut from leather. So many ways to use this. The Watercolour Florals & Lattice stencil is based on a watercolor I did. There are three stencil layers to give dimension and then a fourth layer versatile lattice design that can also be used to create a plaid pattern! Painterly Blooms & Background is a die that perfectly die cuts the flowers you have just stenciled so no fussy cutting needed 👏😀 plus there are extra flower shapes so you can layer them for dimensional florals. We hope you will watch our release party on June 4 at noon Eastern to see lots of samples and alternate ideas for ways to use this die! There will be a GIVEAWAY! Find the die bundles here in Eileen’s Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1736443067/eileen-hull-sizzix-june-bundle-pre-order.

I loved these dies the first time around and I still love them today! I've created a Treasure Box with Stacking Drawers inside. The lid is covered in the new Painterly Blooms & Background Thinlits and gorgeous papers from 49&Market Adoptions Plum Grove Paper Collection. I selected areas of the patterned paper to die cut and I love the effect it gives as the petals and leaves have multiple colours on them, not just one blocked colour.

Stacking Drawer Gift Box

https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/05/stacking-drawer-gift-box.html
It's the time of year when school exams are taking place and the children are getting ready for the summer break. We all like to treat those fantastic teachers to a little something to say thank you, and what better way to wrap that little gift than in a little reuseable drawer. I assembled the drawer from Matboard, and die cut the drawer front out of my patterned paper.
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/05/stacking-drawer-gift-box.html
The back of the drawer is visable so I measured the space and cut a piece of paper to size and glued that on.
https://elizabethr-thecraftyrobin.blogspot.com/2024/05/stacking-drawer-gift-box.html
I measured out a piece of paper that would wrap around the entire drawer, positioning the Butterfly on the top. Using Eileen's double sided tape I carefully wrapped the paper around using a bone folder to keep the corners crisp and square.

To finish off I adhered a couple of pieces of paper lace to the top two sides, one to hide the paper join and two because it just looked so prettty!

It's a great size for a small gift as you can see it fits in a bottle of my favourite nail polish, but could easily hold lip balms, chocolates or other small gifts such as stationery.

Eileen Hull's Treasure Box and Stacking Drawer

I really enjoyed decorating the top of this Treasure Box, it's been ages since I've done any mixed media and I just love how all the textures work together, along with the clean fresh papers from DCWV. I've layered lots of Baked Textures from Emerald Creek, along with some of their gorgeous little semi precious gem stones.

The Palms and Ferns paper stack from DCWV is just gorgeous, and with so many co-ordinating papers to choose from just perfect for decorating the Treasure Box and Stacking Drawers, which are hidden away inside.

I cut the hinges and handle from gold card to co-ordinate with the beautiful palm leaf papers.

I used masking tape to create a hinge, being careful to make sure that the edges are lined up before adding three pieces on each side, that overlap each other. Once I'm happy they are adhered, I add the patterned papers over the top. I also glue the Stacking Drawers into place leaving a slight gap around the front edges, so that when I add the paper strips I can just about tuck the edge of the paper underneath the sides of the drawers, keeping the edges neat and tidy.

Happy Crafting.

They include the Treasure Box and Stacking Drawer Die which fits neatly inside the box, how cool is that. There are so many configurations to play around with, I jut know these are going to be a huge hit with all styles of crafts. And shsshhh can you keep a secret.........there's more to come that will work perfectly with both of these dies.....
