WOW Embossing Powders Metal Challenge

The April challenge over at WOW is Metal, I love their powders, I just hope I'm not too late to enter.
I started with an old wooden picture frame which was .50p from a charity shop.
Gave it a good clean and lightly sanded it back. I then embossed a sheet of craft metal though the E-bosser and painted over it with Martha Stewart acrylic paint, wiping some of it off with a baby wipe before it dried completely.
I then cut the metal into strips to fit the frame, and attached them with strong red tape. I left the corners square on this one, due to the pattern.
I then finished off the frame by adding a layer of Versamark all over it and covering with Wow Neutral Ultra Shimmer powder, before carefully heat embossing it.
Not bad for .50p and a little TLC.
Better get some jobs done now ;)

Natures Beauty at Crafty Individuals

This time over at Crafty Individuals the theme is "Natures Beauty". Our house backs on to the woods here in Colwyn Bay, and we have many different types of birds that visit our garden.  I love to sit at the kitchen table with a mug of tea and watch them feed on the rockery. That's why I chose this stamp, as it covered all bases for me. The papers are from the spring paper pad and the image has been painted using pearly paints, and of course as I'm in flower mode, there had to be some!

Dragons Dream TIO #165 The Letter "B" and Flowers

The fabulous Gabrielle has chosen the theme at Dragons Dream  this time and would love to see the letter "B" and Flowers on your tag, along with at least one real stamp.
My "B" is butterfly, which was a leftover make from a Craft Stamper Magazine project last month, monoprinting, it was just too pretty to go in the bin, so it's been waiting for a new project to go on. The papers I've used were a free set of gorgeous Bobunny pages that were free in the Scrapbook magazine
They make great Mini Tattered Flowers, which you might see a few more of, slightly addicted to them now ;)
Hope you pop over and join in our challenge, just please remember to follow the recipe and use at least one real stamp on your tag.

Butterfly Challenge - Glamorous

I've been promising Mrs A right from when she started the Butterfly Challenge Blog that I would join in, have been on a mission this morning to make sure that I do!!

So using the gorgeous BoBunny papers that came free in the Scrapbook magazine, bought as my Craft Stamper team mate Tracy has some  fabulous projects in there, and a 7gypsies album from my stash, I have started my butterfly challenge journal.

I added Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium to the butterflies and some Treasure Gold around the edges, for a shabby chic look.

The Mini Tattered Florals were cut, loaded on to brads and spritzed with water, to get the crumpled look.
A piece of black raffia from my stash finishes off the album cover.
So no more excuses for me Mrs A, I have an on-going project.

Silky Butterflies!

Had an early start this morning to price up and pack stock for this weekends craft fair, now it's play time!! I've made a card for Imagination Crafts April Challenge "Anything Goes".
I haven't brayered with Silkies for ages, and had forgotten how pretty they look, well apart from the bit where I stuck my finger in!
The colours I used are Pink Lace, Lavender Lace and Tuscan Satin. I can't remember the name of the set they are from, as all mine now live in one box.
The Butterfly Decoupage stamp is well loved, sadly the flower sprig stamps to create the background have gone awol, hence the use of papers from my stash.

More Bottles for the Craft Stamper Challenge

A little more inspiration for the Craft Stampers Take It Make It Challenge - Bottles!
I had great fun making this piece, who knew I had Orange Liquor in the cupboard, and in such a fab bottle!
The texture had been created with distress crackle paint and big dollops of fresco, with a smooch of treasure gold over the top.
The stamps I've used are from Steampunk Spells by Graphic 45, with the wings on acetate packaging, so they flutter.
We have a great prize up for grabs, as used by someone very famous, pop over via the link to check out who!!!!!

Dragons Dream TIO #164 The Letter "S" and Blue

This time around at The Dragons Dream TIO it's the fabulous May's turn to pick the theme.  She chose the colour Blue and the letter "S".
I know I'm predictable, but you know me anything to do with the seaside, and I haven't used a Seahorse for ages lol, so it had to be done!
The background is a mix of Silkies, Mica Powder and Dylusions, all layered together.
With Glenda Waterworth's Seahorse stamped, embossed in black, and coloured using Inktense pencils.
We would love you to dream along with us, just please remember to use at least one real stamp on your tags, and the challenge will run for two weeks as usual.

Craft Stamper's Take It Make It Challenge - Bottles!

Over at the Craft Stamper's Blog you will find the new Take It Make It Challenge for April - Bottles!!!
Decisions, decisions should it be wine, altered or perfume? Bottle box, tag or a card? The choice is yours as long as your project has bottles, has been stamped, and has a direct link back to your blog posting, so the DT can pay you a visit.
My background was made with Dylusions sprays with mica powder spritzed over, and in real life has a pink sheen over the turquoise. The stamped image has been coloured with Lyra Polycolour pencils, they blend so well but the mica still shows through.

I added a little Black Soot around the edges, then matted onto black card, then to finish off a couple of Tim Holtz corners, love that little stamp.
You can find more inspiration on the Craft Stamper Blog from the rest of the Design Team and also in the new magazine which is out today!
