Dragons Dream #131 Merry Christmas

Wow I cannot believe this is our last TIO challenge before Christmas, this year has gone by so quickly. This time around we have a Christmas themed challenge, with no recipe to follow, the only stipulation, as always is that you use at least one real stamp on your tags and have fun!
I am back in vintage mode again and loving this Kandi Core card form Kanban, it looks like old leather when it's distressed and sanded.
My cheeky little Robin had to make an appearance again, this time I've cut him out and layered him up along with some foliage, also cut from the Kandi Core. He's one of many to have been watercoloured with Distress Inks for a Vintage feel, the others are lined up ready for my own Christmas Cards. The HOTP sentiment is embossed using Wow Pearl Gold Sparkle, love their powders!

Dragons Dream TIO #114 "The Secret Garden"

This week at Dragons Dream TIO Frankie has chosen the theme "The Secret Garden", one of my favorite childhood stories. My imagination has run away with this dream, with tropical birds and flowers, and gems for dewdrops on dancing blades of grass, and of course lots of ink! Rainbow Lady's Challenge #181 Christmas Carols

Well another week and another challenge over at Rainbow Lady's, where we have chosen "Christmas Carols" as our theme. What a task picking just one!!!! This is such a nice stamp of Sheena's that I had to go along with "Joy to the World" as it fitted perfectly! The images are coloured using promarkers with a little fine glitter, ok well a lot of fine glitter lol. The edges are tinted with tumbled glass distress ink, and then it was mounted on to a scrap piece of HOTP paper. I'm not sure where the village stamp came from as it was in a swap. Rainbow Lady's Challenge #176 Spooks and Witches

This week over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog we are being sponsored by Caroline, who has put some gorgeous Christmas digi images up for grabs, so thinking caps on guys!
 This isn't what I had in mind for this challenge at all. I'd planned on buying the Witch, and the Cat stamp from Lavinia Stamps when I was at Port Sunlight, but alas I was distracted, and lost my train of thought!!!! LOL.  The stamps are Graphicus and coloured in with a mixture of Promarkers and distress inks, then mounted on to some HOTP backing papers which are yonks old. Rainbow Lady's Challenge #161 A Stitch in Time

This week over at Rainbow lady's Challenge blog the theme is "A Stitch in Time" as always we have a fab sponsor and some great candy up for grabs!!!
My backing paper has been printed out from an Artylicious cd rom, have to admit I can't remember which one lol. I decided use the BP in stripes rather than one whole piece, and overstamped with a HOTP stitcing stamp to make it look like the paper strips had been sewn on. I ran a piece of pink card through the swiss dots embossing folder, and trimmed the edge with a wavey trimmer blade. The ChiChi Memories image has been coloured in using promarkers and some art institute glitter added for sparkle!! The card was then finished off with a few prima flowers with gems added! Magnolia Test Run

 

Okay though I'd have a little test run after last weeks failed attempt LOL. After a fab weekend spent mooching around the NEC looking at gorgeous things, and all day Saturday on our stall at the honey fair in Conwy, I decided that I'd earn't a rest. (excuse to play with new toys!!!). The Magnolia stamp is one of the new "Butterfly" colletion which are sooo  cute!! She has been stamped out in memento ink, and coloured in using promarkers, cut out with a nestie and mounted on to a 6x6 card with HOTP backing papers as the base.

 The flower and swirl are from a Marianne die set and cut out from scraps. Great to catch up with so many of you at the NEC, looking forward to seeing you soon!!! Elizabeth xxx

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 144 St Patrick's Day

I have no idea where the BP came from that I've used, but the checked paper is HOTP. The images are both digi's from Chi Chi Memories and coloured in with promarkers. I used a Sharpie fineliner pen to add the stitches. Elizabeth x

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 141 Shabby Chic

Love is one thing not in the air at Chez Robinson this morning, especially for the bloke who stole Hubby's motorbike at 5am!!!
Over at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog this week we have gone Shabby Chic, which I must confess is one of my favourite styles of crafting. The background papers are from Cosmo Cricket, and already have a distress look to them, I just added a little bit more by running the edge of the paper through my scissors, and inking around with black soot. The flowery border was made with the reverse side of the plain paper, and fake stitches were added using a HOTP stamp (slight cheat but hey). All of the other stamps used are Sir Tim's and stamped out using black soot. If you look closely you will see that I've over stamped the flowers stamp in versamark, and embossed with Sheena's neutral ultra shimmer powder, it gives a gorgeous sparkle and also adds texture at the same time. I used a Nellie Snellon die to cut out the frame for the focal point and added bows to finish the card off. Hope you enjoy this weeks challenge and it's a fab prize Steph has sponsored us with. TIO 60 Time Flying for Christmas

Have spent the day tucked up in my craftroom with the heating on and far too many cups of hot chocolate!!
Have enjoyed playing with a mixture of inkadinks, promarkers and distress inks to colour this tag.
The stamps are an eclectic mix of HOTP, Stamp Camp and numerous others, sorry folks the wrappers are long gone and they live in a box now!

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 129

Here's my little Christmas critter!
All the paper's that I've used are HOTP leftover's from a pad I bought year's ago. Value for money or what?
The Penguin is from Craft UK and coloured in with promarkers, with a hint of broken glass distress ink around the edge for shading. Finished off with a couple of frames cut out with Nesties.

Bah Humbug Challenge 46 Feeling the Blues

Feeling blue with cold here, although Snowdonia is beautiful when it's covered in the white stuff, shame about my front path!!
The background papers I've used are all from Hot Off The Press, and have been lurching for a few years now. The main stamped image is a stamp from Imagination Crafts. I stamped this out using Hydrangea Blue Stazon ,then shaded around the edge with a mixture of Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Inks. The flowers are cut using a Crealies die from Graphicus, the swirl was cut out from a Cricut cartridge and the border punch is Martha Stewart. Can't believe it's the last challenge already, well done Girl's. Merry Christmas Love Elizabeth xx

Rainbow Ladies Challenge 126

Scrapbook page for a change.
The paper is from HOTP it reminded me of the checked shirt's my Grandpa used to wear for work. The photo has been printed out on to text and graphic paper as I wanted to keep the image as matt as possible, then mounted on to black mirri board.
The Kanban poppies have been stamped out using memento tuxedo black ink and coloured in with promarkers, then a touch of black glitter added in the centre of each one. They were cut out and added around the photo. The font is cut out from the Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge, I decided not to use the top layer as it was too fussy. The handsome tanned chap in the foreground was my Grandpa, a Royal Engineer that made it home, a fantastic pianist, bookworm and my playmate whilst growing up. My Hero.
