TIO #80 Fishes
This week it's Janet's turn to start the dream over at the DragonsDream TIO Challenge, with Fishes!! I bought the fish skeleton from IndigoBlu at Port Sunlight a couple of weeks ago, with this challenge in mind, but couldn't decide whether to use him or not. So snook him in the picture anyway!! I started with a cream base tag, and inked it up with a mixture of tumbled glass, stormy sky and brushed corduroy distress inks. For the seabed I spit a Mica tile and made layers of gilding flakes, ink and cosmic shimmer UTEE, then heated. I managed to add this to the tag with a blob of glue hidden behind the flakes. The chipboard letters are coloured in with a mixture of onyx satin, tuscan satin and bronze brocade Silkies. I also then used the same blend of Silkies to stamp out the Lavinia fish. Hope you enjoy the challenge this week, pop over to join us by clicking on the DragonsDream logo on my sidebar. Elizabeth xxx

Play Date Cafe Challenge 72
Have been having a play with one of my new templates from Crafters Workshop. The background was created by brayering a mixture of tuscan satin, pink lace and blue brocade silkies from Imagination Crafts. I chose two of the four birdcages from the template, and then used a versamark inkpad through it. I then embossed it with silver bells wow powder, and added some blue gems. The flourishes in the corner's are Tim Holtz and embossed in the same powder. I love the way that the three colours of the silkies have merged to create a rainbow. Hope you can see the sparkle, Elizabeth x

TIO 51 Die Cuts

Silk, Leather and Lace! Well Silkies any way!
Created the background of the tag with an Anna Griffin stamp using the faded jeans distress ink pad, along with antique linen to blend the colour down. Cut out the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals using scraps of leather, love both the texture and the smell. Also cut out the Tim Holtz Fanciful Flight in chipboard (old box from work!) coloured it with a mixture of silkies and then added some fantasy film behind the wings to add another texture the tag.
Really must buy a new camera as the flowers have a fab shape when they are not squashed by the scanner!!!!

TIO 48 Say it with numbers

The chipboard 9 was first coloured in with a mix of onyx satin and emerald satin silkies, left to dry and then coloured over with a green promarker. When that had dried out I went over with rock candy distress paint, sprinkling a little iridescent glitter in to the mix as an experiment! Used a Studio G alpabet set to spell out "Lives".

Silkies and Tim Holtz Dies

It would be so funny if tomorrows challenge was chipboard! Have been playing with the silkies I bought from Imagination Crafts (hope you have had a go with yours Jenny?). I love these new dies from Time Holtz, I cut them out from the boxes that the gift aid envelopes arrived in at work. It's perfect for going through the cuttlebug, as it seems to compact the recycled card even more, making it easier to paint. Bit on the pretty pastel side for me, but hey! Might try a different colour next!

Bah Humbug Challenge

Made me think black and pink this week!
The card base is made from Bazzill basic and the layered paper is from Anna Griffin.
Added black twill ribbon and used Nellie Snellon frame to make black border.
Used Silkies to create the background on which I stamped Lavinia's Fairies onto with memento black tuxedo.
Finally I added some snowflakes from Hot Off The Press.
Merry Christmas!
